Asta POV
I'm still in bed with a bandage wrapped around my head. My foster father said I would be bedridden for a few days. It gave me a lot of time to think about my life and where it was going. "If I'm not going to be the Wizard King, what am I going to do?" I thought to myself as I continued to lie in bed. "I can't be anything anyway, I don't have any magic. I'm useless." After thinking that, I cried myself to sleep. Usually I'm upbeat and happy but I was just so dispirited, I couldn't be positive. What was positive about this situation I'm in? Yuno came to check up on me every once in a while, but probably by force. I'm pretty sure he has much more important things to do than look after a useless person like me.
Yuno POV
I've been looking after Asta while he is bedridden. I feel bad and I know that him getting hurt was my fault, but all I did was put him down even more. I'm not a bad or mean person, I just think this is the only way that he will be safe. Now that he has no Grimoire and officially has no magic powers whatsoever, I will do what ever it takes to protect him, even if it means killing his dreams of becoming the Wizard King. I'm going to become the Wizard King. Not for myself but for Asta, I want to do it for him. I want him to be proud of me, I want to fulfill his dream for him. We exchanged no words when I checked up on him. I didn't know what to say. He looks so depressed and so out of it. I hope he feels better soon. I love him as if he were my own brother and I hope he feels the same. I also hope that he forgives me for the things I said.
Asta POV
After a few days I was able to get out of bed. I figured there was no point in training since I didn't have any magic, so I decided to take a walk to clear my head. I walked into the woods and kept walking until I became tired. I wondered if I should go back to the village. "They wouldn't miss me anyway, so should I leave?" I asked myself. I started to walk back to the village because I knew I had nowhere else to go, so why would I run away? When I walked up to the village I saw that Sister Lily, a nun and a part of my foster family, was being held captive by a strange man. He had a creepy look in his eyes as he admired Sister Lily from head to toe. I knew what was going to happen if I didn't do anything. I saw how much distress Sister Lily was in and something just snapped inside of me. "The strong are always preying on the weak, knowing they can overpower them and using them to their advantage." I thought as I felt an weird energy start to surround me. Suddenly, a Grimoire appeared in front of me. It looked old and beat up but something was pulling me towards it. "Is this my Grimoire?" I asked myself. Then the Grimoire opened and I saw something sticking out of it. It was a giant sword! Like the Grimoire it was beat up and old but when I held it, it felt so good in my hands. Without thinking I charged at the strange man with Sister Lily and slammed the flat part of the sword into him. He flew backwards and hit straight into a wall, knocking him out cold. I looked at Sister Lily and she was shaking with fear. I thought she was just shaken up by what happened but when I reached out my hand to her, she backed away. I then realized she was afraid of me.
