A new outlook

Asta POV

I stared at Licht after he asked me that question and all I could muster is a confused,"What?" "I want you to join The Eye Of The Midnight Sun." Licht said to me. I assumed that The Eye Of The Midnight Sun is the group of people he is leading. I knew they had to be bad news since they kidnapped me and I didn't want to be apart of an evil group. "No, you guys kidnapped me! Besides I'm not looking to become evil." I replied. Licht then replied with his usual calm tone, "Please reconsider Asta. You will be very beneficial in our plans. Also we aren't the evil ones, that title belongs the people of the Clover Kingdom. "Why would the Clover Kingdom be evil?" I asked myself as I continued to hold my eye contact with him. He then began to explain what happened a few years ago. He explained that there was an elf tribe that lived peacefully with the humans. He told that he fell in love with the kindest human he has ever met. Soon after, the woman was pregnant with their child. Then one day the humans attacked killing the elves also killing the human woman and supposedly her child. Licht explained that the humans only did this because they were jealous of the elves great power. He then used a old spell to summon a demon to try and wipe out the human race but the first Wizard King put a stop to it.

"So now I have to get my revenge for all the damage the humans have done to my friends, family, and home." He finished. I was in complete shock. I was upset that happened to him. Why would people do something like that? Just because you were jealous of something, you had to destroy it. I didn't even experience his pain but I felt some anger start to build up, but I tried to keep my cool. "I'm sorry for your loss, but what has any of this have to do with me?" I asked still kinda confused. "That's the Grimoire I used to cast the spell. I created that sword along with two others. That one is called the Demon Slayer Sword. But for some reason it seems to be attracted to you." He replied. "So since you are the only one who can wield the sword and posses the Grimoire, you will be the main person who helps in our mission to destroy the Clover Kingdom." I didn't know what to say to that. The Clover Kingdom does deserve punishment for what they have done. They didn't even acknowledge the fact that it happened and brushed it of like it was no big deal! Then again, what help would I be to them? "I don't even have any magic powers, how am I going to be of any help to you?" I asked him. Licht just smiled and said, "You are so much more than that, trust me." That part stuck with me. He was the only one who ever decided to look beyond having no magic and ask me for help! "Ok! I'll join you!" I said as I held a big grin on my face.

3rd Person

Asta then began his training with The Eye Of The Midnight Sun. He mostly trained with Licht as he was his mentor. Asta figured out that the sword he possessed was an anti-magic sword meaning that he could cancel out any magical attack that was thrown at him. He could also bounce magic attacks back at the attacker. He could feel himself getting stronger. Licht was surprised Asta was progressing so fast. It was most likely because he trained a lot before he came here. Asta was able to meet the others from The Eye Of The Midnight Sun and started to gain everyone's trust. It took awhile for him to warm up to everyone, some more than others. For example Sally, the creepy girl, still was interested in Asta and constantly asked him if he help her with some of her experiments. Of course Licht wouldn't allow that, so she just stopped asking all together. They then started to become friends, even though she kept asking Asta to be her boyfriend. They were all crazy in their own way but Asta finally got used to their antics and started getting more and more comfortable with them.

One day Licht called Asta to come speak with him privately. "You wanted to see me boss?" Asta asked. "Yes, I have a mission for you." Licht said calmly. Asta was so excited. He hasn't been on a mission before so if he's going on one now, he knew the boss though he was ready. "I want you to enter the Magic Knights Entrance Exam. I know you will pass and when you do I want you to gain the trust of the people you will be staying with. Also I want you to get intel on the leaders of those groups, but you can get intel on others as well. As long as it is beneficial to us." He explained. Asta was so fired up. He was ready for this mission and he knew he was the right person for the job. "I won't let you down sir!" Asta exclaimed as he ran to go get ready. "I can't wait to see you again, Yuno......" Asta said to himself as his right eye glowed a bright red.
