Eragon woke to the sound of dragons in the hatchery of new carahall below him. The 12 baby dragons were as disobedient as exited puppy's with talons and the ability to breath fire. The elves try to train the hatchlings but it usually ends in injury and bloodshed.
"Ignore them," was Saphira's advice.
"How exactly am I going to do that?"He asked. He hadn't had a Terry good week. He had rebuilt the hatchery 3 times, fixed the landing field at least 8 times and Saphira's tail had taken down the south tower. Not a good week. Today was Monday. What to do:
1.wake up
2.feed dragons
3.fly dragons
4.try to train dragons
5.lunch
6.practice magic
7.spar
8.dinner
9.sleepAnother busy day. Blodgharm entered Eragon's room.
"A unknown dragon and rider approaches from the eastern wall. Wivean spotted it. Green and fully grown." He said.
"Green? Could be Firnen. Eragon hoped it was for Arya would be on his back. Eragon had not seen Arya for 3 years and missed her.
"Did someone say Firnen?" Said Saphire.
"Don't get your hopes up,"said Blodgharm ," We don't know yet."
Life was hard enough without reminders of Arya and her green dragon. Sadness welled up inside Eragon and he went back to his room to think. His room wasn't much. Just a bed, desk, chair, and 2 wardrobes. The other elves had richly decorated there rooms with flowers and trees. One elf, Wivean had a oak tree in her room with pictures of the joyous parts of her life. That wasn't much.
