Oh my goodness! We already know that the Ebola outbreaks killed thousands of people in Africa. Now, another virus has reached Uganda and it's the cousin of the Ebola virus: Marburg Virus. 10-09-14
Another virus has reached the African country of Uganda. This is called Marburg virus. It is similar to the Ebola virus. Now that one person has recently died from it, there are concerns about another outbreak. Ebola and Marburg both cause hemorrhagic fever.
Animals could hold these viruses and fruit bats are thought to be the carriers of them. Rainforests and forests have been their natural home until humans cut them down. These bats also stay in large groups. Miners go through caves filled with bats which can lead to getting a person infected.
