sophie's pov:
i waited anxiously for emma to arrive. she said she was going to get to the apartment really soon. and i'm not going to lie, i'm shitting my pants. what if she doesn't like it? what if i screw it up some how?
"hey soph!" sally said, "me and gray are going to the twin's house for the night so you guys can have privacy."
i smiled and hugged her tightly "thanks sal, i love you so much you don't even know."
sally grinned, "see ya later ho."
i giggled, "bye bitch."
she left the apartment and i flopped down onto the couch and ran a hand through my hair. i looked down at my outfit, i was wearing a pair of black sweatpants and a white muscle t-shirt. oh god, this isn't good, i kind of look like shit right now.
i was about to get up to change my clothes when i heard a knock on the door. my eyes widened, i took a deep breath to calm myself.
"one sec!" i called out. i quickly ran to the balcony to check to see if everything was set up. i then rushed to the door and opened it. emma ran to me and immediately wrapped her arms around me. i giggled, "hey babe."
emma pulled away and cupped my face in her hands and pressed her lips to mine. we began making out, our lips were moving in sync.
i then pulled away and smiled at her, "i have a surprise for you."
emma grinned, "yay! what is it?"
i giggled and shook my head, "i can't tell you yet. now cover your eyes i'm going to show you."
emma obeyed and covered her eyes, i lead her to the balcony. i counted down from 5 and she opened her eyes. she was speechless, she looked around, her eyes began to water. "aw soph," she said, "this is so cute."
i smiled and embraced her in a tight hug, "anything for you em." emma blushed and then started looking around again. i sat down and motioned for her to sit too, she did and cuddled into me. i smiled. i really cherished the moments like these with her. ethan never did anything like this for me.
"what do you wanna watch?" emma asked, nodding towards the computer.
i shrugged, "i don't know, anything you want."
emma giggled and shook her head, "why are you being so nice to me?"
i blushed, "aren't i always nice to you?"
emma nuzzled her face into my neck, i could feel her smile, "yeah but usually you know what you want to watch."
i began playing with her long hair, "i guess i've been thinking about how grateful i am for you and i want to do something to repay you."
emma pulled away and looked deeply into my eyes, "sophie," she said, her eyes began watering again, "you don't have to repay me for anything, you being my girlfriend is the best gift you could ever give me."
i blushed and tucked a strand of hair behind my ear. "thanks em."
emma giggled, "now shut up and kiss me you dork," she said.
i grinned and pressed my lips to hers, our lips moved in sync, she tangled her fingers in my hair. i wrapped my arms around her neck. she pushed me back and straddled my waist. i ran my fingers underneath her t-shirt and softly ran my fingers across her back.
emma pulled away and smiled down at me, "you're really beautiful sophie."
i felt my cheeks heat up, emma crawled off of me and sat back down. i cuddled into her and she turned on the new spiderman movie. as the movie played i smiled up at her and scanned all the features of her face. the screen lit up her face and highlighted her gorgeous eyes and adorable nose.
when the movie finished emma grabbed my hand and lay me back so we could see the stars. we lay in silence for a while before she said something. "i love you."
my eyes widened, i was officially bright red. "i-uh," i didn't know what to say.
emma sat up, and rubbed her face, "i knew i shouldn't of said anything." she got up and walked off the balcony. i could tell she was crying.
i got up quickly and ran after her. she had already left. i followed her onto the sidewalk, it was incredibly dark out, the street lights were the only things lighting up the street. "em!" i called after her.
i finally caught up to her and grabbed her arm. she spun around and looked into my eyes. "i'm sorry for ruining the night," she said, her voice broke. i shook my head, and cupped her face in my hands. "i knew i shouldn't of said anythi-"
i cut her off by kissing her passionately, i pulled away and smiled, "i love you too emma."
