One more part left (yes, I decided to split part 5 in two as well, so now I have 7 part instead of the original 5). To the side how I pictured Tiana in dragon form just that her eyes are supposed to be blue with a hint of red around the pupil, when she’s a dragon (gold when she’s in human form). Enjoy!

She was in and out of consciousness for what felt like a long time. At some point she dreamed of Ereder in his former state, telling her he was sorry and that she was going to be fine. But that must have been a dream since he was possessed by a demon and during their last encounter she was pretty certain he had take enough of her blood to kill her. That had to be the answer. She was lying on the floor in that Lectures Hall and was slowly dying. But then why did she feel like she was sleeping in the most comfortable bed she’d ever been in?
- How long before she wakes up? She heard Ereder whisper.
- Not sure. The healer said it could be a few more days. You did quite the damage there, Zena answered without any malice.
Her statement was followed by an uncomfortable silence and Tiana dared to open her eyes. The sunlight hurt them and she tried to raise her to use it as a shield but it felt too heavy to budge. The effort must have made some movement because a moment later a warm hand caught hers and she went to say 'thank you' but all that left her chest was a moan. Gods she felt tired.
- I think she’s waking up, she heard Ereder’s excitement in his voice, but it was laced with concern.
- Tia? Zena took her other hand in her palms.
When all that came out was another moan Tiana decided to try and open her eyes once more. The light was still blinding, but opening them gradually helped and when her eyes finally adjusted she found herself staring at a sky full of stars. She frowned not making the connection right away, but eventually she realized it was just the enchanted ceiling of a large room. She faintly squeezed the hands that were holding hers not able to do more, her eyes shifting to the left where Ereder was watching her intently, seemingly ready to run at the first sign of trouble. His skin was now its normal shade, the redness and the markings all gone.
- How? She croaked out.
Apparently catching on rather fast, he looked like a lost little boy as his eyes fell to the ground and his shoulders slumped all indicating his shame. She squeezed his hand again, this time a little harder – though not by much – and his eyes snapped back up staring at her with an apologetic look.
- It was your blood. It seemed to have purified the demon from him. At least that’s what I believe, Zena answered first.
- I can’t feel him anymore and the pain is gone. The hunger too. Ereder looked back down. I’m sorry.
She gave him a weak smile but said nothing else since her throat was as dry as the desert. Zena stood up and got her a glass of water then slowly helped her sip some of it. The cold liquid was soothing and she finally didn’t feel like she had sand in her throat. She rewarded Zena with a smile as well the turned back to Ereder.
- It’s okay. You are better and that is all that matters.
- But I nearly killed you! His eyes were pleading with her to understand.
- But you didn’t.
- But I could have.
- But you didn’t and that is the end of it. I’m glad that you are feeling better. I was worried after I saw what had happened to you, she frowned as she spoke. Where is Zeri?
