Later that day I found myself back in the palace of wonderland, standing before the red King and Queen. I had the hat with me and my palms were sweating because I was so nervous.
"How long did it take you to make such a hat?" asked the king in the most snotty way possible.
"It took about 3 and a half hours." I said trying hard not to lisp.
"Impressive. When will you be able to start work here?" asked the Queen.
"Umm...A...as soon as possible." I said. I had lots of hope now that they were going to give me the job.
"Guards!!!!!! " Screamed the Queen and I jumped, it was almost so loud that my Heart stopped. Just then about ten men dressed in red steel suits that were shaped like red cards burst through the doors and stood behind me in a neet yet scary way.
"Yes your majesty's?" they all said simultaneously- meaning all at the same time-.
"We are hiring this boy to be our hatter. Show him the hating station." Ordered the Queen.
"Yes your majesty." Said the guards. Then they took me out of the room. The last thing I heard in the room was the Queen.
"Now dear, don't work this one as hard as you worked the last one, or you'll kill this one too!" She said to the king and I gulped for this remark was not what I wanted to hear.
The men dressed in armor took me to a room with a table and materials used for hat-making.
"I would think you know what everything is, and what to do with it. You may stay for 10 minuets to look around but then you go home and return tomorrow at sunrise." Said one of the guards. I thanked them, and they left.
After looking around for a while I saw something in the mirror. Two very familiar faces.
