I walked down the table. The hair had a cup and saucer in his paw and was shaking wildly but he seemed happy. I sat down at the top of the table nervously. As soon as I sat down the hair, the door mouse and the Cheshire Cat all sang a loud cheery song.
'A very merry un-birthday to you
(To you)
A very merry un-birthday to you
(To you)...'
It went on for a while. When it was done the Cheshire Cat smiled at me and said,
"I thought it may lift your spirits." in his low raspy voice. It really did. We laughed and talked for a while, which became hours, which became days, which became years. Then one day out of the blue, a beautiful young lady came out of the the trees.
"My my. What's your name young lady?" I asked in a friendly voice.
"M...my name's Alice." she said in her sweet, gentle voice. She wore a blue dress with a white overall. she had beautiful golden hair with... surprisingly an Alice band in it. I stood up on the table and walked to the other end. The hair was trying to fix everything I was ruining but didn't do a very good job.
"You're late, naughty!" I said smirking and wagging a cheeky finger at her. She looked confused. I jumped down off the table. I leaned in close to her and said softly, "Tell me Alice, why is a ravin like a writing desk?"
