matthew's pov
i don't have to ask my parents about going anywhere because they are never home business trips that are months long. it was lonely before i met lexi now i go to her house every day when i can.
i drove to her house to pick her up and we started driving to costco to get the snacks when we walked in the store i saw a bunch of my guy friends and they were with jessica and that new girl jocelyn i believe. i noticed them staring at lexi and she got uncomfortable "can you guys not stare at my girlfriend" i shouted kinda they chuckled backing away playfully "that's your girlfriend" jocelyn asked weirdly "yes why" i say mad because it looks like she was judging " n-no reason" " don't mess with the people he loves he will actually kill you" cole said and started talking to lexi "lexi we should start looking for the snacks now" i say and grab her hand

still matthew's pov
we were a good 10 minutes away from our destination and lexi was asleep
when we got to the lake house i picked up lexi and took her to the room to lay her down. i kisses her cheek and said goodnight and went to lay on the other side of the bed
