Dear Mom,

I never knew how to cherish you, until you said you had to leave for a business trip. Sounds pretty darn stupid, but I appreciate you, now. First of all, I'm sorry I tend to lose my temper on you when I'm frustrated. I'm sorry for hurting your feelings at certain rough moments in our lives. I'm sorry for disappointing you in certain things I've done, but mostly, I thank you for being a great mother, just loving me even though I'd ticked you off more than a hundred times.

Remember when we first said 'I love you' to each other before we ended the phone call, sounding exactly like a real pair of mother and daughter? Well, yeah. It's today. The first time you said it, I was taken aback but this time hesitation is no longer here.

Thank you, Mom. For everything. Conceiving me, coping with my attitude (I hope you know it's partly because of stupid puberty, and no, I'm not trying to make myself feel better. It's the truth.), providing me with everything my father probably wouldn't, forgiving me at times where I piss you off so extremely that we'd give each other the silent treatment for a couple of days, but most importantly loving me with all your heart.

I know you probably won't read this ever, because I'm actually keeping this secret from you (I promise you'll know this. When I'm over 20 years old, and hopefully not too late, which is a little over five years more.)

I must say again. Thanks, Mom. I'm proud of what you're doing today, and I love you. Thanks for staying strong at moments when I, including bro and dad, needed you. Thanks, much love.

Sincerely,

Your loving daughter
