Bomb Threat

Barry: I can't save us this time

Iris: What do you mean, you can't save us?

Barry: There's a bomb-

"A bomb?" Joe worriedly asks.

Iris: What?

Barry: A nuke, it's already gone off. I can't stop it

"A nuke?!" Felicity shouts.

"How are all of you not dead?" Oliver grunts.

Nora perks up, "FlashTime!"

"What?!" Everyone else is extremely confused about what she's talking about.

"FlashTime," Nora repeats. "It's when Dad's moving at superspeed and brings a non-speedster into the Speed Force for a short amount of time so that they're moving as fast as he is."

Iris: Wait- but there's a way. There's gotta be something that you can do, Barry.

Barry: No, listen, I tried. We tried everything. We tried lightning, we tried cooling it down, breaching it to a dead earth, but there's nothing that will work. I don't know what to do

Iris: Okay

Barry: As soon as I stop it's gonna-

Iris: I know. Hey, it's okay

Barry: I don't know how much longer I can hold out. I'm so tired

Iris: Okay, it's okay, Barry. Oh, my God, you're burning up

"It's taking an enormous toll on your body. You can't hold out much longer," Caitlin informs them.

Barry: I've been at this for a while

Iris: Hey, look at me

Barry: I'm sorry

Iris: No, don't be sorry. Look at me, be here with me.

Barry: I'm sorry.

Iris: This isn't exactly the quality time I was imagining, but it's still nice. Every moment with you, Barry, has always been nice.

Barry: Every moment. You're my lightning rod, Iris. What?

Iris: You said you tried to use lightning. How?

"The energy could stop the reaction," Cico grins.

Barry: We tried. It didn't work. If it was powerful enough, it could've fused the split atoms, it could've negated the effects of the bomb, but I can't do it alone. I can't generate that kind of energy.

Iris: No, you can't but the Speed Force can

"What is she talking about? How could I, alone, bring out the Speed Force?"

Barry: What?

Iris: When you went into the Speed Force, the lightning from the storm

Barry: One of those bolts would be enough, but I can't. I can't draw it out.

Iris: No, listen, when we freed you, Cisco and Caitlin, they used a Quark Sphere programmed with your genetic marker to trick the Speed Force into thinking that you were still in there

"If you can get that sphere..." Iris trailed off.

"You could stop the bomb! Way to go, Mom!" Nora cheers.

Barry: I just need to get that sphere, and the storm will chase me

Iris: It's like you said, a lightning rod to bring out the lightning. Come back to me.

Barry: As fast as I can. [Speed Force] Here we go.

Everyone watched with bated breath as Barry ran into the Speed Force and drew the lightning out to stop the bomb. When it worked everyone began to cheer.
