a/n: this takes place before Habit, just the slender man stuff.

vinny sat at his desk, going through some old footage. Yeah, he was bored.. but this was the only way to find ANSWERS. After hours and hours of doing so, he felt a tap on his shoulder. "Hm?" Vin turned to face the small, freckled male. Evan. "I- you've been hard at work, ..wanna go for a hike??" Evan smiled, looking straight at Vincent. "I.." Vinny looked at the computer, back at Evan.. and nodded, "Let's get our stuff together.." Evan smiled and gave a thumbs up, starting to walk out. "Hey!! Is Jeff coming with us??" Evan shook his head, a slight pink-ish tint rising to his cheeks, "No- thought it could be you and me? Is that okay?" Vincent nodded, smiling. "Perfect!" Evan walked out. 

¥ at the trail ¥

They pulled up to the trail head, parking and situating their bags. Evan started first, walking to the trail with Vin following close behind him. A mile or two in, they stopped to eat, sitting on a log and a stump. Midway through eating, Evan stopped and turned to Vinny, "Hey- you promise if anything happens- we stick together?" Vin looked at Evan and nodded. "Of course.." As the two went back to eating, Evan moved closer to Vin. "Whaaaat are you doing?" Vin looked at him, adjusting his glasses. "I uh- I was.. getting- closer to you?" Evan felt his cheeks become warm. "Yeah.. but- why??" Vin squinted. "Because I- wanted to.. I love you." Evan placed his head in his hands. Vin smiled, a red tint beaming from his cheeks, "Nothing to be ashamed of..." Vinny scooped Evan up, setting him down directly next to him, "Say.. maybe we can ditch this trail and head home?? Watch some movies? Just you and me?" Vinny elbowed Evan a bit, smiling. "Sounds greeeeeat." Evan rolled his eyes, chuckling. Just then, he felt Vin's warm lips press against his, Evan embraced the kiss and wrapped his arms around the man. Moments later they pulled apart, "Let's pack up and go."
