There was a murder.
A few if you're being specific, but the town police weren't. They say they aren't connected, that the three of them were suicides. Their families were put under a hush order, but it didn't stop everyone else from talking. Three kids dying in the same week, all being friends and in the same neighborhood. This was bound to raise some eyebrows. Loose lips were in the police department, details from about the bodies were then revealed.
There was no easy way to put it, the corpses were a horror show. It was any parent's worst nightmare, that their kids would die in this way. So why didn't they demand the police to investigate further? Why did they force them to keep silent? Why was the news sniffed out? Why the hell were there no funerals?
And for those who knew a little more than the regular citizens, where the hell are the bodies and who the hell is Victor Frankenstein?
The families knew, they were the only ones he talked to. Being referred by the head coroner, Henry James Igor, they learned he was a former government scientist. He was fired for experimenting on bodies that were involved in classified cases. They wondered why Igor would be telling them this. That's when he explained what he was doing with the bodies.
Igor spoke, "He was trying to find ways to, in the simplest of terms, bring people back from the dead. This way we could see why exactly they were killed, but of course in your case it would bring you relief."
They were almost immediately drawn to violence. "How dare you mock us!"
"I'm sorry if it sounds like that, I can't imagine what you've gone through. I've seen you're children though, what has happened to them is horrible. They were too young to be taken away, especially in this manner. At least take his number down, he'll get back to me if you all come to an understanding. I'd suggest sending only one of you to visit him, these police officers will be less suspicious that way."
It was only a day later that, Mrs. Leo went to the door of Victor Frankenstein. It wasn't the house of someone you'd think would resurrect the dead, but nonetheless it was pretty ominous. It was isolated, being the only house for a while down this trail into the woods. Still, it was well cleaned and pretty inviting by itself. There was nothing for it, Leo took the courage she had and went to ring the bell.
It sounded off loudly, after a minute or two the door opened. "Hello?"
Mrs. Leo looked him over, once again being surprised at what she saw. It was a man that seemed to be in his late 30's. He had swept over brown hair, blue eyes, and scar on his right eyebrow. The man was wearing a simple dress shirt and black slacks, loafers too. In her head, she wasn't sure what she thought he would like like. Maybe a tall greying man, wearing all black, possible a skull in his hand. It was ridiculous, but so was the notion of necromancy.
"My name is Jessica Leo," she put out her hand and the man took it.
"Victor Frankenstein, Igor told me you'd be coming. I'm glad you did too, I got some coffee ready." Victor smiled.
The two went inside, just like Victor said there was cups ready at the table. "Thank you sir."
"Oh it's no trouble, you've gone through a lot so you should be comfortable while I breach this topic. I have some bread if you'd like, but please sit down."
The woman took a seat, letting him take her coat. "Thank you, in all honesty I would like something to eat. If I'm being completely honest, I have been having trouble doing anything."
Victor slowed as he sat down, seemingly just getting a thought. "Were you, present to the aftermath of what happened?"
Jessica looked down, her hands trembled. "Please, let's talk about something else before we talk about it."
