"Do you want to answer that?" Jordan asks and I bite my lip and then shake my head.
"No I'm good" I smiled at her and pressed decline, switched my phone into silent and we headed out.
"Your father told me, I'm so sorry I know how important she was to you" she said about my grandma and i smiled sheepishly at her and thanked her.
We went everywhere that day.
First we went to bleecker street and had the BEST pizza ever.
"So tell me about back home, what do you do there?" she asked me.
"Mm, not much I guess I'm more of 'staying in and watching Netflix until I fall asleep' and 'doing my homework on time' type of person" I shrugged.
She explained then how she was the same when she was in high school, which surprised me a lot because she's like 5'9 with gorgeous blue eyes, auburn hair and a natural tan, she straight up looks like a model.
"No way that's you" I gaped when she showed a picture of a pimply red faced girl with orthodontic head gear and pig tails.
"Yup, my face was so messed up back then" she laughed and I laughed with her, I am genuinely enjoying my time right now.
We were walking alongside Broadway when I saw the sign for Matilda, I watched it back in 2012 with my grandma and I started to tear up.
"You okay?" asked Jordan, I smiled wiped my tear and nodded.
After sharing my story she smiled and asked me if I wanted to go and I couldn't say no to that.
It was almost sunset and Jordan was rushing me.
"Where are we going?!" I kept asking but she would just say "You'll see!".
And where I was, it was magical.
In a helicopter, hovering over amazing New York City as the sun is setting its beautiful orange colors on the island, I can see the Statue of Liberty clearly with the crowd looking like little aunts.
It's truly the most beautiful sight I ever laid my eyes on.
When we landed, my feet were basically jelly from the adrenaline pulsing through my body, I couldn't help it, I hugged Jordan a huge bear hug thanking her over and over again.
Up there the world seemed so tiny, my troubles didn't exist.
As soon as I got home, my whole world crashed again I forgot about everything.
I turned on my phone and it started buzzing from incoming messages.
Most of the texts were from Finn asking me where I was.
A few weeks ago we hated each other's guys what's happening?I vented to Jordan about him and she listened the whole time while we drank peppermint tea in the living room opposite the big glass window revealing a gorgeous New York night.
"And now I don't know what to do or who to ask" I sighed and Jordan put a hand on my shoulder.
"Kid I'm not one for advice usually but I think you shouldn't get too attached I mean he's obviously just into you for your looks also he seems like an ass"
That made me snort out my tea which resulted in burning myself, she was spot on he is an ass.
Well at least he used to be.Jordan and I exchanged numbers then just kept talking aimlessly about everything we did today until my father came home and Jordan bid us goodbye.
"Did you have fun?" He asked and I nodded and thanked him.
"I'm tired so I think I'll just go to sleep" I explained and he nodded.
"Well tomorrow how about we have breakfast together and you tell me all about today okay sweetheart" I smiled at him and went to hug him, catching him off guard but he soon hugged me back.
"Thank you" I whispered into his shirt and he just held me and said "anything for you".After a whole week of nothing but shopping at places where Vivian from pretty woman would be kicked out, eating at places Gordon Ramsey would only eat at and going to shows and plays exclusive only to people who can pull some strings.
It was safe to say, it was a hell of a week and it sure made me forget about the whole dead grandma thing.
I still think about her at night, and I talk to her when my dad wasn't listening before sleeping.
Sometimes I think 'I can't wait until I tell my grandma about this' but then I remember and be sad again.I was in a helicopter on my home with my dad by my side, smiling at me the whole time.
"Are you ready?" My dad said, I couldn't see anything since I was blindfolded right before I could see the new house me and my dad will be staying in.
I nodded in excitement and he took off the blind fold slowly, and my jaw dropped to the ground. This was huge, way too big for just two people.
"Here let me show you to your room" he gestured at the long staircase, the entrance looked like the entrance of a ball room.He opened the double doors to my room and it was huge, it was bigger than the house I used to live in with my grandma and this excluding the walk in closet and en suite.
"Are you going to school tomorrow?" My dad suddenly asked and my eyes widened.
Shit I forgot that existed, I'm probably way behind now."Sweetheart I don't want you driving to school anymore so I hired a driver for you and he can drive you using the rolls Royce I'll sleep way better knowing your safe please" he begged me with such worried eyes that I couldn't refuse.
The alarm beeped and it was time to go to hell, er school.
I'm all dressed and ready, with my sleek non actually brushed hair in a pony tail and I've decided to put on contacts today since my glasses always slip off.
My dad was having breakfast in the dining room for 12 people alone and I decided to join him."Are you excited about school?" He asked and I just shrugged.
"More like nervous, the news already spread that you're my dad so I don't know what's going to happen" my dad just smiled at me in reassurance.
"You'll be fine" he then kissed me on the cheek and left. The driver pulls up at school and the whole school is eyeing the car with the tinted windows, I think that maybe Finn or Heather or someone popular was pulling up next to me but there was no one and so I realised they were staring at my car.
I stepped out slowly, hoping that I wouldn't fall and the whole school was staring at me while I walked inside.
And as soon as walked in, the murmurs behind me started buzzing like bees.It was going to be one hell of a day.
(Hope you liked it)
