After the dance he took me to meet all his associates and some random people.

"Winston" My father smiled obviously a fake smile at some guy who kind of looks like Robby from Lazytown.

"Emerson, what a sweet party" he sneered at my father and my eyebrows shot up as I stared at him but put on the same fake smile as my dads.

"Thank you, Darling this Robert Winston and his wife Beth Winston" my father introduced and for some reason I got so flustered I didn't know what to say and ended up with "Beth means broadcast in arabic".

My face was so red, they just smiled politely at me, nodded and left.

I groaned and put my head on my father's shoulder as he chuckled "okay that could've gone better but luckily those two are satan's spawn do you don't have to worry about impressing them" he laughed and I nodded and went to find something to eat.

I was happily engulfing crab puffs when someone patted me on the shoulder, I looked around with a mouth full of crab puffs half expecting it to be Kai and smiled but then it turned out to be three kylie jenner looking wannabes who cringed when they saw me, oh shit.

The girl sneered but then smiled when I swallowed "uh hi, you must be Adrianna I'm Layla Shadi, daughter of Adam Shadi" she batted her eyelashes and puckered her lips, she looked like a butt with that enormous lip job of hers.

"Sup" I just nodded my head towards, I genuinely do not care for girls like this.

She kept talking incoherently in my ear about how we 'must be friends' and 'it would be a crime if we weren't' which I just nodded mindlessly, I have higher standards than being with trash like that but I just went on anyways.

"Adrianna are you listening" she snapped her hand and I blinked, what the hell was her problem?

"Adrianna oh my god long time no see" a girl who I've never seen comes to hug me.

"You look amazing did you do something different?" who was she.

"Celine" Layla sneered when she saw her.

"Butt face" 'Celine' spoke at the same tone as her which made me snort, that earned grossed out glares from passersby and the buttface.

"I'm going to take Adrianna and you can go kiss my ass, okay bye" she prolonged the 'bye' and pulled me away.

"Hi?" I said but it came out as more of a question and she smirked at me "Hey" she said, biting her lower lip, what the hell? She kinds of reminds me of Ruby Rose.

"I'm Celine, I saw your cry for help when you were captured by the wicked witch of the upper west side and thus your knight in shining armour came to your rescue" she winked and I laughed but thanked her, she truly did save me from that awful thing.

"Thank you for that, she's an awful person and why do the two girls behind her never talk? Are we in west side story?" I asked and she laughed shaking her head.

"You cracked me up when I saw you talking to the Winstons" a blush creeped up as I remembered the scene.

"Um yeah I just - I get really awkward really fast I don't know" I stopped talking midway not knowing what to say next.

"Let's play a game" she offered and my heart skipped a beat when I saw the mischief behind her eyes but nodded anyways.

"So the rules are, you have to put those little food in trays in the drinks of people, who ever gets the most wins" I laughed when she explained how she used to do this all the time when she got bored with her brother.

"These parties are always dull and they're really just one big business meeting for them, so we might as well try to make it fun for us" she said and then started counting until we start.

I swiftly grabbed a handful of who the hell knows what and started putting in people's champagnes.

I was about to do a 5th one when Paul caught me, as it was his glass.

"Adrianna, what may I ask are you doing?" his eyebrows raised as he stared at me hunched over trying to put something in his glass.

"Science experiment?" I tried but he obviously didn't believe me.

I can see that he was about to lecture me when luckily someone else got his attention, he saw WInston going to talk to my dad "For craps sake, your dad will gladly punch Winston if I don't go over there, but this isn't over yet" he warned before giving me his glass and heading over there.

"Adrianna?" I looked back at whoever was calling my name to see Finn, dressed in a nice tuxedo looking very sharp, yet I couldn't feel for him what I felt for Kai when I saw him and Charlie.

"Hi" I smiled at him politely not wanting to make this greeting any longer.

"Should I apologise again?" he asked and I sighed, he's starting to be really pathetic.

I was about to speak when Charlie came into view and I planned my escape "Charlie" I called for him and he stared around for a bit then focused on me, he looked surprised but happily came over.

"Yes?"

"Meet my schoolmate Finn James, you two have a lot in common" I said, not knowing if this was true or not, I left them be and went to find Celine so we can resume our game.

I was about to go see her when Charlie grabbed me.

"What the hell was that all about?" he asked in a humorous tone with his eyebrows laced together.

"He was being annoying and so I didn't know what to do" I shrugged and he chuckled but nodded anyways "well I was happy to be there for you" he laughed and I laughed with him.

A song came up and he asked me to dance and I gladly accepted.

While we were dancing his hand settled on my butt and then I scowled at him and removed it, I thought maybe it was an accident, but when he did it again I let him go and scowled at him.

"What's wrong?" he asked, was he serious?

"Don't put your hand on my butt" I said but he just laughed and grabbed me and pulled me to him.

"Why not" he said with hungry eyes and licked his lip which made me shudder "stop it" I said trying to wiggle my way out of his grasp, then Kai came out of nowhere and punched him square on the jaw so hard that he fell.

Charlie got up from the ground and spit out blood as I noticed everyone staring, suddenly Charlie grabbed me and held me tight to him and laughed.

"Why are you doing this you worm" I yelled at him and now everyones attention seemed to be on him, suddenly a laser point was beamed at me and everyone gasped.

I started to tremble, my feet gave out but Charlie was grasping me "LET HER GO" Kai said.

I felt like everything was going in slow motion again when I saw the glass from the roof shatter and a bullet heading my way.

I braced for the impact but it never came, I opened my eyes to find Finn laying on the ground with a bullet wound.

I shrieked.
