Rosie hastily clicked on the link as soon as she saw the tweet. She was immediately directed to Park Jimin's most recent post.
She squealed in her seat while she scrolled through the five photos and clicked on the additional video he uploaded. (The 5 second-long clip was composed of him in a board room while he was joking around with some of his co-workers.)
Gosh, he was such a sweetheart.
"You done stalking your virtual boyfriend?" Jennie teased, holding her mug of coffee closer to her lips.
Rosie squinted her eyes in reply and paid no mind to her friend. Instead, she replayed the clip over and over again with the audio on full mode to spite Jennie.
The first time Roseanne ever thanked YouTube's problematic algorithm was when a video of Park Jimin showcasing his dancing skills was on her recommendations list. She was clueless how it got there since she never really watched these type of videos, but praise the heavens. Hallelujah. She knew it was fate.
That was over two years ago. Now, he was recently hailed as Chanel's newest ambassador along with musician, Jeon Jungkook and actor, Kim Taehyung. The trio of friends were often seen hanging out at the Chanel HQ in South Korea, or out and about on photoshoots while they wrapped up an upcoming collaboration with the brand.
Adding two fresh and attractive faces to her Instagram home page was a blessing she received.
"Will you please shut that off?" Jennie snapped while Chaeyoung only replied with puerile grin. Years of being friends with the blonde still didn't make Jennie know better.
"You always keep teasing me about stalking Park Jimin when you act as if you have a boyfriend—" Chaeyoung retorted.
The brunette cut her mid-sentence. "I don't need to act because I do have a boyfriend!"
"W-what?" Chaeyoung stuttered in disbelief. Never in her decade long friendship with Jennie has she ever heard the girl say the exact same words she released. As far as she knew, the feline-eyed girl was single since birth!
"I do have a boyfriend."
"I heard you the first time," The girl set her phone aside and intertwined her fingers on her desk. She was now facing Jennie's direction, "When were you gonna tell me?"
"Over lunch, but you brought it up." Jennie shrugged her shoulders. It still beguiled Chaeyoung how the pale blue cardigan stayed hung on the brunette's shoulders with all the movements she kept on doing throughout the whole morning.
"And when did you get a relationship with this guy?"
Jennie now felt like she was under probation accommodated by 'Police Officer Park Chaeyoung'.
"Yesterday. We just made it official yesterday, but we've been seeing each other two or three months before that."
"And whom is this man you're dating? A friend of mine, perhaps?"
"Surprisingly, no. We met under...circumstantial terms." Jennie reminisced fondly, her thoughts travelling to the adorable signature rectangle smile and the bad boy-esque smirk of her new beau. The duality.
"Oh, then tell me so I can look up his IG."
Chaeyoung hurriedly encoded her phone's password and patiently waited for Jennie's reply. "His account is underscore tae kim 95 (@._taekim95)
"Holy shit." Chaeyoung muttered to herself.
"I know right? That's what I said when I first saw him too." Jennie added in jokingly. She half-expected a chuckle for her companion, but Rosie's mouth hung open.
She was bit concerned (majority from the speechless reaction and a little bit from the thought that Chaeyoung might have plans to snatch her man), so she stood up from her seat and walked across the wooden floorboards.
"You're dating Kim Taehyung?" Chaeyoung asked for confirmation. "You've gotta be shitting me."
"Excuse me?" Jennie crossed her arms over her chest, genuinely offended.
"Sorry, but Jen, you aren't joking are you?"
The furrowed brows and the small pout on the older girl's lips were enough confirmation for Rosé. She opened Taehyung's recent post— a picture of him together with Jungkook and Jimin.
"Hey, isn't that Pa— Holy shit."

"Babe," Taehyung called when he spotted Jennie exiting the elevators. His girlfriend showcased her gummy smile before speed walking and lunging herself towards him. The blue-haired man thankfully caught her on parr when she was about to slip. "Be careful next time."
She kissed his cheek and giggled. Jennie couldn't explain it, but every time she met with Taehyung, she always felt giddy and giggly. She felt uncontrollable and he found that cute.
"How was work today?" She asked. She wasn't off until five and there wasn't much to do, anyway. Might as well chat with her Casanova lover.
"We finished the first day of filming for that new drama I got cast in."
"That's great! Congrats, babe," She pecked his cheeks one more, causing the older boy to flush red. "You must be tired. You can come up to the office and rest."
"What about Chaeyoung?"
Of course, her boyfriend knew about Chaeyoung. After all, she was Jennie's original wife before he arrived. He admitted to being a bit jealous since during one of their dates, Jennie mentioned Chaeyoung and the brunette kept rambling endearingly about her best friend.
"She won't mind. Come on."
Taehyung wrapped his hand around Jennie's as they entered the elevator.
