Jake POV

"AJ please don't hate me." I muttered to myself. "This will be a long story, so buckle up." They all shifted and stared focusing on what I was saying.

"It all started when she was fifteen. She got this boyfriend named Jamison, but everyone called him Jammie. He was really nice to her at the beginning. He was seventeen, so he drove her to school, helped with financial struggles, and other parts of her life. Since she had no one to go home to she would stay weeks over there. No, they would not do the dirty. But around two months after they started dating she started getting quiet. She wore long sleeves and long pants all the time. I knew something was wrong. I asked her about it the whole day and finally she told me that he hits her. I wanted to do something but she told me not to. I was irritated but I still trusted her, so I just checked in with her multiple times a day." I started getting mad. "She came to school bruised so bad it hurt her to walk." Blake got up and stormed out of the room. I followed him.

"Dude, I know you like her, so listen to her story. Listen to what she has been through. I know it pains you, but you need to know." I told Blake.

"I do not like her." Blake said.

"What if she heard? That would hurt. But you know your lying to yourself." I said.

His face changed. "She doesn't like me, so what can I do?"

"Be there for her. She may not act like it but she likes having someone by her side to hold her when she is hurting."

"Just come finish the story." Blake told me. So we left to the room where everyone was sitting.

"So she came to school barely walking. And told me he forced her to do something. So I went ballistic. I went to his house, and he had already skipped town." I said.

"That is where your wrong." AJ said. "You did go there, it seemed as if he had skipped town, but I saw him every once in a while on the streets."

"What the hell? I thought you were unconscious!" Steven said surprised.

"Those 'knock out drugs' you use have been used on me many times." She said. "Anyway, he hadn't skipped town. He simply disappeared."

"Wait a minute. How long have you been up?" Blake asked.

"I never even fell asleep. I heard what you where saying during the surgery. I felt a lot of the surgery. The liquid you where pumping into me numbed it off and on." AJ said.

"So when did you start walking around?" Blake asked.

"Around ten minutes after Steven walked out. After I got my hoodie I went to the training room. Then I came here and herd ol' Jake here spilling lies about my only regret." She stated.

"Ok well you need to get back in bed. I need to check your stitches." Steven said.

"Ok well bye new family. If you know my story and don't ditch me you are considered family. You can ditch me if you want. See ya later." AJ said.
