Alia and Ruby above
AJ POV
A couple months later***
At lunch
"So we have a few days until the dance so who has asked you?" Alia asked me. Alia is Stevens girlfriend.
"No one. I don't want to go with some random person." I said.
"Well what if someone from the gangs asked you?"
"They are all like brothers." The gang and I have been getting close and so have Steven and Tyler's girlfriends.
Just then Blake and Ryder came up with Steven and Tyler behind them. Steven and Tyler both kiss their girlfriends. I wish I had that. All of a sudden Blake stood on the table. He got everyone's attention by yelling for everyone to shut the f up.
"So as you all know I have a friend. Her name is AJ, and I need to ask you something." He said turning towards me. "You have been an amazing friend. You are totally badass. I have a lot of fun hanging out with you. So I would like to ask you if you would go to the spring dance (prom) with me?"
OH MY GOSH!!! HOW IS THIS HAPPENING??? Cool yourself. On the outside I am calm. On the inside I am exploding. "Sure." Is all I said. I then smiled when he jumped down and spun me around. The girls started squealing, and the lunch room was erupting in applause. I then heard the seven words I hate the most.
"We need to go shopping for dresses!" I heard two voices scream in excitement.
The day passed slowly. After school I was going shopping with Alia and Ruby (Tyler's girlfriend). Once the final bell rang I sprinted out the door. We met up at Ruby's car. She drove us to the mall. We went to a couple of stores but they didn't have much of a selection for formal dresses, so we went to one of the last stores with formal dresses.
"Oh this looks nice." Alia said holding up a silver dress.
"It looks good with your skin tone. You should get a few to try on." I said. She tried some on while Ruby and I looked for ours. Soon Alia came out with a blue one on. It was stunning.
"You should totally get that one." Ruby told her. She looked so happy. She just nodded very fast. She then handed Ruby a dress and told her to try it on. We could hear her squealing from outside of the dressing room. She must have liked the dress. When she stepped out I was amazed. It was a two-piece dress with a black top and silver bottom.
