It had been a few weeks since you set out on your own journey. The first couple days had been quite rough to say the least. You had eventually trashed your old phone and bought a burner from some shady drug store, stayed in motels when you physically could not stay awake any longer on the other hand you saw beautiful scenery that you could never have imagined standing in front of. The hardest part of it all was never having someone there with you. Sure it was nice to finally have full control over your life and what you wanted to do but you forgot how agonizing it was to spend so much time with yourself, how easy it was to get lost into the blizzard that was your own head. You had spent plenty of time alone as a kid when you were moving from family to family but there were people from time to time to keep your head distracted. Now you had absolutely no one and being sucked into your self destructive mind was the easiest thing to do.

You were currently sat on a curb by a park, eating the sandwich you bought at a rundown convenience store. You were completely at peace, minding your own business when you felt a light smack against your back, your basic motor skills failing you as you fumbled with the food in your hands, dropping it onto the ground. Your face contorted into a frown "Dammit...i wanted to eat that." you mumbled pitifully. A deep voice shouted out from behind you "WHAT THE FUCK RICHARD!" You turned your head to see a Frisbee laying in the grass, not too far behind a rather attractive boy was running towards you and the offending plastic disc. "Hey did my dumbass friend's Frisbee hit you?" After taking a moment to register the scene, You quickly jumped back to your usual sarcastic demeanor. Picking yourself up from your place on the curb, you stood up to greet him. "That's what it was?? A Frisbee? It felt like a whole ass elephant slapped me with it's trunk." offering one of your signature smirks at the concern clouding his features. "Really? Did it really hurt? Oh gosh i'm so so so sorry." Before he could continue you cut him off with a light chuckle. "I was kidding. I barely felt anything." Sighing in relief at your reassurance, the boy wiped imaginary sweat from his forehead, joining in on your good natured banter, "You really had me scared for a second." he managed to say over his chuckles. "Sorry, force of habit."A grin spreading on your lips as you bent over to grab the boys Frisbee, gently throwing it to him. "Thanks." Catching it, his warm face broke into a full smile, one that could have rivaled the brightest rays of the sun. He was definitely a sight for sore eyes you thought to yourself. Taking in his appearance properly, you noted his tan skin, the freckles littering his cheeks and nose almost like the stars had kissed him, the blonde hair that paired with his complexion perfectly. To top it all off he seemed like a total sweetheart, if his easy going attitude and willingness to join in on your banter was anything to go by. It was then that your mind shot back to the words Changbin had told you on the train. 'Make friends with at least one person every place you go.' So it came in handy after all. You thought to yourself. Making a mental note to thank the boy you had met briefly on the train, if your paths had ever crossed again. "You're welcome." After a moment of hesitation, you will yourself to speak up once more just as he had turned to leave. "Hey so this may seem a bit weird or waayy too forward but i'm new here and don't really know anyone so would it be too much to ask for your number? You seem like a cool dude." Stopping in his tracks, he turned to face you again His eyes squinted as his smile grew wider

"You're asking me..for my number. What is going on in the world, no one ever asks me for my number, especially not attractive people" You laughed at the word attractive, you hadn't showered in almost 3 days you were sure your face was full of grease and dirt but this cute little Australian boy thought so much different. He pulled out his phone and walked closer to you holding it out "Here! Just don't give me a fake number or i'll cry" Refusing to allow this handsome stranger the chance to see the instant effect he had on your mood, you instead choose to take the phone from his hand. Forcing yourself to focus on inputting your number and smiling at the screen, silently composing yourself. Chuckling lightly, you responded "I could never".

Sending yourself a quick text, you held your phone up to his face showing the message on the screen. "Here's the proof. Oh i never got your name...unless you just want me to call you freckles" With sudden help from your usually short lived charismatic nature, you decided to see how easily you could tease your new friend. Lifting your index finger, you stood on your tippy toes, pressing it lightly into one of the many freckles setting on the apple of his cheeks. Taken aback by your sudden wave of courage, the tips of his ears grow red as he tries to smoothly recover. "W-We're already on the nickname stage? Wow karma really is on my side today." He lets out a nervous laugh extending his hand to introduce himself properly. "My names Felix, what's yours?" Scoffing at his innocent reaction to your teasing, You placed your hand in his and gave it a firm shake. "Felix hmm? Suits you. My names (Y/n)." Dropping your hand from his you stepped back. "It was a pleasure to meet you but i have to go find a place to stay for the night. Hopefully we get to see each other again before I skip town." His face contours into a frown as he gives you a puzzled stare. "Why would you skip town?" He hesitantly questions you, seemingly afraid of angering you for his prying. Shrugging your shoulders you look away from him. "I don't like staying in one spot for too long. Might get caught." Before he can question you further, you place two fingers to your head, giving a small salute, setting off down the street darkening street, looking for a cheap motel for the night.

After finding a motel you took an abnormally hot shower before laying down in bed. You decided to take inventory of all the things you had in your bag currently. Looking through it you found a small crumpled piece of paper, quickly straightening it out you stared at the writing. It was Changbins number; Even though you had only spent a few hours with him you couldn't help but find yourself missing him. The thought of texting him since you two had gone separate ways lingering in the recess of your mind. Though, you know that even if you did message him with your inept social skills you wouldn't have any clue what to say to the boy. So instead, you fold the paper back up and shove it into your bag. There would be a time that number was of use but right now you were okay. After going through the rest of your things you packed it all back up and laid down darkness encasing your mind as you drifted into a dreamless sleep.
