Rome
AdrestiaRome, such a wonderful place full of unique and artistic opportunities. It was beautiful, the only downside was having to wear these stupid robes all the time, I hate them! The most uncomfortable garment I have ever had to wear. The worst part was that the only thing keeping them up was a piece of rope and a few folds, it's insane if you ask me. I sat in a 'bar' with Crowley, we had been keeping in touch over the last 8 years occasionally meeting for drinks like today, drinking the 'house brown' it tasted dire but it was classed as drinkable so...
"You know something?" I ask him, running my finger along the rim of the cup. "What?" He replies, taking a swig from the jug. "Those sunglasses do absolutely nothing for you" I snigger, snatching them from his face and threatening to break them. "Hey, careful! We don't want these humans freaking out and thinking I am some demon. Anyways since when did you become a fashion expert" He whines, trying to grab them back off me. I simply chuckle "Hun, you are a demon also when the world started to decide this was called 'fashion'" I smirk, gesturing to the glasses once again. He pouts and I pass the glasses back to him in defeat, "you're lucky I'm nice" I mutter, looking away. "hmm that's debatable" He laughs but before I get a chance to reply the angel known as Aziraphale appears.
"Crawley-- Crowley? and Adrestia? Well, fancy running into you here. Still a demon then? Still death Addie?" he smiles, taking the seat next to Crowley, I cock a brow at his question.
"What kind of stupid question is that, 'Still a demon'? What else am I going to be an aardvark? Addie here what's she going to be a bloody mouse?" Crowley spits out, how polite, I shouldn't laugh but I can't help it. "A mouse? Why a mouse?" I ask still giggling away. "Well you are tiny Addie" Aziraphale replies, "Boooo not cool" I groan, folding my arms and sticking out my bottom lip.
"Anyways Salutaria" Aziraphale smiles, lifting a cup filled with the mysterious liquid. Crowley simply picks his up and with a clink against Aziraphale's begins drinking again. I lean back in my chair and swing my arm round to Aziraphale. "Salutaria Az" I cheer, clinking the mugs and then downing the drink in one go. "In Rome long?" Crowley eventually asks. "Just nipped in for a quick temptation, and a catch up with this one" Crowley states, pointing his thumb over at me. I wonder if he actually was tempting someone or he just wanted to meet up with me? Probably the latter, he's a 'busy' guy he wouldn't clear his schedule for me, would he? "I thought I'd try Petronius' new restaurant. I hear he does remarkable things to oysters." Aziraphale smiles as if he's trying to sell the restaurant to us but I spit out my drink with a cough. "What's wrong with you?" Crowley asks, taking my cup away and inspecting it. "I-it was just the way Aziraphale phrased it! Like what 'remarkable' thing does he do? Fuck them?" I giggle away as Aziraphale's face goes a light shade of red. "No- I?" He stutters and Crowley speaks for me "Don't worry angel, Addie here was just joking, her minds in the gutter as usual". "Ahem, you're one to talk Crowley!" I croak, still, a bit of the house brown stuck in my throat.
The day then ended with the three of us going and eating the oysters, well Aziraphale and Crowley ate them I just sat and poked them whilst questioning the chefs 'remarkable' methods, occasionally making Crowley laugh, seeing him laugh instantly put a smile on my face.
537 AD
The Kingdom of Wessex
AziraphaleI was meant to be saving a damsel in distress from the Black knight today. Duelling wasn't my strong suit making me question why I was picked for this quest and not someone else like Arthur himself. I guess I will just have to try and convince the Black knight to give the lady fair back. I gulped as I stepped forward into the fog to meet my fate and lifted my helmet.
"Hello?" no response "I, Sir Aziraphale of the table round, am here to speak to the Black Knight about the release of the maiden fair I believe to be in your possession," I say, walking further and further into the fog. Figures start to appear "Oh. Right" Is all I can see, fear to build up inside me. "Um... hello." the man then beckons me forward saying "yeah, come" I follow him forward once again explaining what I was hoping to do when the Black Knight himself steps forward.
"You have sought the Black Knight, foolish one. But you have found your death, quite literally" The Knight chuckles, but I recognise that voice. "He's hardly foolish is he?" Another voice says from behind, female this time. I instantly know the two. "Is that you under there, Crawley?" I ask, squinting at the Knight in front of me "Crowley!" He says angerly as he once again has to correct me on his name change. "A much better name if you ask me, how you keep forgetting it I don't know" Adrestia smirks, stepping out wearing a black, long flowing dress with a crimson cape draping her shoulders, on her back a quiver of arrows and across her a bow. So much for a damsel in distress.
"What the hell are you two playing at?" I ask, staring at the pair, the appeared to be standing rather close to each other but maybe I'm just seeing things. "It's alright, lads. I know him. He's alright. I'm here spreading Ferment." Crowley says, moving around inside his armour. I know the struggle as I too find walking around in armour to be tiring after awhile. "What is that, some kind of porridge?" I ask, annoyed at the duo. Adrestia laughs placing a hand on her hips and shaking her head. "No. I'm, you know, formenting dissent and discord. King Arthur's been spreading too much peace and tranquillity in the land, so I'm here, you know, formenting" Crowley explains although Adrestia interrupts "However, I'm all for spreading porridge, I'm starving right now I could eat a horse" She jokes, but the horse behind her whinnies. She gasps and quickly turns to soothe the animal, despite her supposedly evil, she sure seems to be a big softy around animals. "Shhh shh, don't worry Jupiter I'm not going to eat you it's just a figure of speech." She continues to stroke the horse and calms it down, I shift my gaze over to Crowley and notice he's watching her with a smile plastered on his face. I wonder what he's thinking...
Crowley and I came to the conclusion that we were essentially working very hard and just cancelling the others work out. Crowley and Adrestia then tried to convince me that we should just say we were working, sending lies back to head office so we could just stay at home. I was appalled by this suggestion, although it did sound so much easier I couldn't. After shouting no at the pair I left. I glanced back at the pair to notice them both on the same horse, Adrestia had her arms around Crowley to 'stay on the horse' but I couldn't help wonder if there was something else happening there...
