~~~~~Six Months Later~~~~
Alexis POV
Ever since Jack asked me out, a lot has changed. My friends, Jasmine and Noah, moved in next door, Zach and Devinn are like a thing now, Daniel is being his rude, disrespectful self, and Mackenzie hasn't popped up. I'm into shopping now, probably because Jack started to spoil me with stuff. I was leaving the mall after doing late night shopping and picking up something for me, Jasmine, and Noah. I was going to surprise them with matching pajama sets from Victoria Secret. I drove over to their house and knocked on the door. Jasmine opened it and gave me a small smile.
"Hey." She told me.
"Hey. I brought us all something." I told her as I tried to walk in, before she stopped me.
"I don't think you should come in. Come back later." She said as she tried to close the door.
"Why? Give me one reason why I can't come in."
"Because it's my house!" She snapped. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to yell."
"Then let me come in." I said as I tried to get in. She continued to not let me come in, but I got inside.
"Alexis, you need to leave." She snapped at me again.
I looked in the kitchen, and saw something I didn't want to see.
"Oh, so that's why you didn't want me to come in. You're fake. Don't worry, I'm leaving. You won't see me in here ever again."
"Is there a problem?" Mackenzie said as she took a bite of her cereal.
"Yes, trick. The problem is you! Why are you in here?"
"Uh, 'cause I live here." She rolled her eyes.
"What the f-, Jasmine! She tried to get with your boyfriend! Now she lives with you?? What gives?" I shouted at her.
"Since when did you control my life and who I live with? Mackenzie is my friend! She has nowhere else to go! I'm sorry I have a heart unlike you. It's not my fault I could find my own place and get my life together." She snapped back.
"Oh. So that's how it is?"
"No! I'm sorry, I love you. I didn't mean any of that." She hugged me.
"Jasmine," I slightly pushed her away from me. "I can't spend anytime with you or Noah while she's here." I told her.
"A-are you telling me to choose?" She asked me.
"Yeah. Choose between your best friend for years that go you through tough times and has never left your side, or some backstabbing bitch who disappeared for 2 years and you just randomly found her in the mall, not to mention, she also attacked me?"
Jasmine didn't say anything. She just kept looking at both of us.
"Alexis, you like really need to go. Like I mean it this time." She made her decision.
"Oh, okay then. How about you stay out of my house, too? I seriously never want to see either of you again." I left the house and slammed the door. Tears threatened to fall from my eyes as I walked to my car. I drove next door and went inside the house. I just couldn't wait to see my boyfriend. He was the best at listening to me and making me feel better.
"Jack?" I called in a sad tone. I heard footsteps running down the stairs. Of course, it was Jack. He looked at me worried.
"What's wrong?" He asked me as he pulled me into a hug. "You okay?"
"No." I said kind of muffled because my face was in his chest. He grabbed my chin and made me look at him, telling me he's listening.
I spilled out everything that happened in the past 10 minutes.
"If that's how she speaks to you, then she didn't deserve you. You didn't deserve to be spoken to that way. She's not a true friend. And please, don't let Mackenzie get to you." He gave me a kiss on my head. I smiled at him.
"You hungry?" He smiled back. I nodded my head. When am I not?
"How did you know?" I asked him jokingly.
He shrugged. "I don't know. I'll go get you something." He said as he let go of me and left to the kitchen.
I heard a knock on the door so I went to go answer it.
