"Okay, mom. They're outside." Alexis said. She checked the time. "Oh, it's 8:00 pm. I really need to go."

"Wait. Let me get a hug." Eleanor said as she hugged her daughter.

Whoever was in the driver's seat went crazy. They keeped honking the horn.

"Bye Devinn. Be good to mom, treat her well." She gave her younger sister a hug.

"And Desiree. I'll miss you, hunny bun. Call me sometimes okay? And I promise I'll come visit when you turn 12 okay?"

"No, Lexi. I don't want you to go!" She cried.

"Don't worry. I'm only........2 hours away." She hugged her littlest sister.

With that, she left out the door. Guess who stepped out the driver's seat? Daniel. But with an attitude.

"Well, when David said that I'm 10 minutes away, you know what that means? I'm 10 minutes away. Be on time." Daniel snapped.

"Don't get your panties in a knot. I can't say goodbye to my family? I'm sorry that people actually love me." Lexi snapped back.

Daniel rolled his eyes and grabbed her bags. He threw them in the trunk and they hopped in the car. He then drove off.

"Look, I know we don't like each other. But we have to at least act like we like each other. So maybe we should start being nice. Don't you think?" Lexi asked.

Daniel ignored her and just turned up the radio.

"Fine. We don't have to talk." She said.

1st Person (Alexis POV)

I woke up hearing someone knock on the window. I shot my head up. I realized I fell asleep in the car. I also realized that Daniel left the car and we were at their house.

I unlocked the door and opened it. "Thanks for waking me up, Jack." I said. He held his hand out for me to take and helped me get out the car. "Thanks again." I laughed.

"Hey, I'm sorry he left you in the car." Jack apologized.

"Don't apologize for him, Jack. You didn't do anything. Plus, you're really nice."

"Daniel is the only one who I know who would want to be mean to someone like you."

He makes me smile.

"You're so sweet, Jack." I said as I opened the trunk, only not to find my bags.

"I took your bags in before I woke you up." Jack said before we started walking in the house.

When I got in, the first thing I spotted was that douchenoggin drinking apple juice on the couch, like he didn't just leave me in the car.

"Hey! You did get Alexis!" Jonah said. "You told us you didn't go get her."

"Hey asshole. You left me in the car." I told him.

"No shit, sherlock." He snapped back.

"I don't have time to argue with you. I'm tired." I said.

"Good, you need the beauty sleep." He said as he rolled his eyes.

"Daniel, do you always have to be so mean?" Jack asked.

"I don't have to, but she needs it."

"Hey, Lexi. You can sleep in my room." Jack said.

"Best idea of the day." I said.
