I Love You More

Chapter 7

I woke up with Niall’s arm wrapped around my torso and the sun barely coming through the windows. I glanced at the clock that read 6:54. Why am I up 3 hours after I fell asleep? Then, suddenly, I felt very nauseous. I sat up and tried taking deep breaths to calm my stomach, but that didn’t help. I got up and walked the few feet to our bathroom and found myself above the toilet. I don’t understand how I could be sick, I didn’t have any drinks last night, and I don’t have the other symptoms of the stomach flu.

After I was done revisiting my dinner from last night, I laid back in bed with Niall and tried to fall back asleep. I decided to give up on falling back asleep so I opened my twitter and instagram, you know the drill. For the next hour I watched random youtube videos until I heard Gemma in the main room. I walked out to the kitchen and living area and got a glass of water since I didn’t have much of an appetite for anything.

“Hey, you’re up early for being out late,” Gemma said from the couch.

“Yeah, I couldn’t sleep well last night,” I lied, sitting on the couch opposite to Gemma.

“That sucks, well at least you don’t have to work today,” Gemma sipped her tea. “Good news! I think I found a flat I really like!”

“Thats great! Where’s it at?” I grabbed my laptop from the coffee table and opened the internet.

“Gipsy Hill Crystal Palace, its a one bedroom flat,” she walked over and sat next to me to look at the pictures with me.

“Its really nice! So do you think you will get it?” I clicked through the pictures.

“Yeah, I’m going to look at it today, do you want to come?” she replied.

“Sure! What time?”

“Around 2, we could do lunch, then head over there,” Gemma suggested.

“Sounds great!” I said, still clicking through the pictures.

“Ok, I’ve got some errands to run, so I’ll call you later,” Gemma got up and went to her room.  I also got up and went to the bathroom deciding to take a shower and get ready for the day.

I wrapped a towel around myself and walked the few feet from the bathroom to our walk in closet. As I was looking my clothes, I heard Niall talk, “Brooke?”

“Yeah,” I replied, still looking through my clothes.

“What are you doing up so early?” Niall’s groggy morning voice asked.

“Couldn’t sleep,” I picked out a blue Under Armour jacket, a tank top and black skinny jeans to wear. I still don’t feel great so I want to be comfortable but still look like I tried today.

“Come here,” his eyes were closed and he was half asleep, but I walked over and sat next to him. I felt Niall put his hand around my side to pull me a little closer. “I love you,” he said, barely audible.

“I love you too Niall,” I sat there for a little while longer before getting up and finished getting dressed.

“Are you going somewhere babe?” Niall asked as I slipped on my shoes.

“Yeah, I’m having lunch with Gemma then, we’re going to look at flat for her,” I answered.

“Ok, have fun,” before I could say anything else I heard a quiet snore from Niall. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek before leaving the room. I turned on the TV and plopped down on the couch. Keeping Up With The Kardashianswas on so I didn’t change it. Even though their problems are over the littlest things, it’s pretty addicting once you start watching it.

After two episodes, I started feeling a little hungry. Not wanting to spoil my lunch, I grabbed a few grapes and some water to hold me down. I heard the bedroom door open and Niall appeared in the kitchen, still sleepy.

“Good morning babe,” he wrapped his hands around me and kissed my forehead.

“Morning, how did you sleep?” I replied, resting my head on his chest.

“Could’ve been better, but I’m ok, now that I saw you,” he chuckled slightly.

“You’re so cheesy,” I giggled. We sat there silently in each other’s arms for a moment.

“So you’re going to look at flats with Gemma?” Niall broke the silence.

“Yeah, she said she found a really nice one. I looked it up and from the pictures online, it does actually look really nice. She thinks she’ll rent it too if she likes it in person.”

“Well thats fantastic,” Niall squeezed me, then let go of me.

"Yup, do you wanna help me clean the spare room when she leaves?" I suggested, even though I know he's not going to help.

"Oh, I will probably have something to do..." He joked.

"Of course you do," I laughed, walking to the couch to sit down.

"I'm just kidding, sure I'll help you," Niall joined me on the couch, putting his arm around me. "So what time are you going out?"

"I don't know, Gemma is out running errands now so she'll call me when she's ready, and she's looking at the flat at 2," I replied.

"I see," Niall turned the TV down a little.

"What are you doing today?" I asked.

"I don't know, maybe go over to the guys' house for a while," he answered.

“That’s like your ‘go-to’ thing to do when you’re bored,” I said, laying my head back and closing my eyes, suddenly feeling a little light headed.

"Are you ok?" Niall asked me, his voice sounding a little wary.

"Yeah, why?" I opened my eyes again.

"You looked a little pale," he replied.

"Oh," I sat up and then laid my head on Niall's arm.

"Are you sure you’re ok? You’re acting really strange,” Niall insisted.

“Niall, I’m fine, I probably just ate something bad,” I replied, looking up at him.

“Alright…” he said, changing the channel, his voice sounded no where near convinced. We stayed like that for a while, just watching TV in silence, other than the noise of whatever show Niall decided on.

“Do you feel like going to the guys’ house?” Niall asked, after about an hour.

“I don’t feel very up to it, but if you want to you can go. I kinda want to take a nap, so I won’t be hurt or anything if you do go.”

“Ok, I’ll probably leave in a couple minutes,” Niall got up and went to our room. I laid my head down on the pillow and closed my eyes. Before I fell asleep, I heard Niall tell me to call him if I need anything.
