Chapter 6

Avery's POV

After a nice day at the park with Ellie I went straight home. Once I reached home I told Ellie that I reached safely and during that short back and forth with Ellie I couldn't stop smiling. I put my phone down and start making dinner.

Thankfully dad came home sober I gave him he's dinner and went up for a shower. And start thinking about Ellie she's so beautiful. I wonder if she's seeing someone but didn't caity said that she's single ? Whatever even if she's single she wouldn't want to date me, I mean I have a lot of baggage and I don't wanna ruin the friendship when it just started.

I got off shower got dressed and hop onto my big bed I swear this bed can fit 3 or 4 people. I wonder if I'll share my bed with Ellie. Damn thinking about it makes me horny. I shook my head what the hell was I thinking.

I took out my books and start working on some homework while solving a maths problem my phone went off for a Skype request. It's Casey my best friend and my only friend in school.

'Hey babe, how's You?" We call each other babe most people think we're dating but no she's bi but she's dating Max one of my many bullies but I can't tell Casey that because she's in love with him.

'Hey babe, I'm okay I smiled . 'Oh okay what happened?" What?

'You smiling so something happened, so tell Me."

'So, I'm just happy you called." Bullshit it's much more then that."

'Urgh fine I met someone and we went to the park and hung out that's it." 'Ohhhh she squealed is she pretty?"

'She's not pretty, she's beautiful I said looking into space with a smile on my face.

'Looks like someone is in love she teased."

What no! I just met her and she's just a friend. 'A friend that you like, right?"

Yeah I like her but we would never happen because she's beautiful and I'm just a plain tan girl with blue eyes.

'Okay first of all, you're beautiful with beautiful blue eyes and second, why wouldn't  you date her? You're smart, rich, funny, kind and many more."

What about dad? 'Your dad doesn't need to know that you're seeing someone."

No I don't want her involved if dad knows. 'I think mom is calling Me, so I'll see you tomorrow Okay?"

Okay bye! 'Bye lover girl."

I shook my head smiling. After a few minutes I got a text from Ellie, my heart racing.

Ellie❤: Hey just finished the meeting and dinner. Wby?

Oh yeah me too just finished doing some homework. How was dinner?

Ellie❤: rather have you for dinner!😉

Oh my god she's flirting!

Hmmm..well if you had me for dinner you wouldn't stop eating cause I'm delicious

Oh my god no that's wrong!

I mean I wouldn't know what I taste like but you know...urgh I'm making it worse! I'm so sorry 🙈

Fuck I'm getting horny again and I'm pretty sure I'm hard.

Hmm..I think I might consider you! I'm sorry to leave you hanging but I gotta go sleep I have school tomorrow.

Oh manh little did she know I'm definitely going to be dreaming about her.

Woke up bright and early feeling fresh prepared breaky for dad and I. Dad came down 5minutes later. 'What happened to You?"

I looked at him confused,' what you talking about?" You just look happy."

'Am I not allowed to be happy?" He laughed and said, no it's just I haven't seen you this happy since your mom was alive."

This is what's good about my relationship with my father when he's sober, we have this type of conversation we talk back and forth with each other without him trying to kill me. It's like a few days ago never happened and if I bring it up he gets angry and leaves for work then comes home drunk that is why I also act like nothing happened.

'It's nothing just can't wait for soccer training." 'Oh okay how's school and soccer?"

I really wish we have these type of conversation everyday, it's nice to know that he cares deep down I know he does.

'Soccer been great so far, championship is coming up we play our first game in two weeks time against Riverside (made up)."

'Oh aren't they like the hardest opponent you guys faced last year?" I frowned confused as to why he knows that.

He must have seen the confusion on my face because he said,' Oh you told me the night of the game day, you were sore and all that's why I asked."

I start tearing up a little bit so I looked down to avoid him seeing me like this. 'Yeah they are, the kids are super aggressive and the refs can't do anything about it because some of the players their parents are politicians."

'What? That's absurd, they can't do that okay? So if someone rough you up you tell me I'll put some sense into their parents," he said angrily.

'It's okay dad we get that kind of behaviour every time we meet but we always get to them by winning so we don't let it get to us."

Before he says anything else to make me sad I stood up and put my dishes into the sink. 'Alright dad see you later I gotta go to school."

'Okay be safe!" 

I ran outside the front door and open the door to my car. You must be wondering why I don't take my car to work it's just a 5minute walk so it helps with my fitness.

I drove to school as I parked I saw Casey at the front door who greeted me with a huge tight hug. 'Urgh I miss you so much!"

'Can-Can't breathe." 'Opps sorry," she said teasingly.

'I miss you too by the way."

We hook our arms together and head to classes.
