Bright lights prickled against my cheeks, and I slowly blinked open my eyes instantly taking in the white room around me. At the sight of a window, I took in the view with wide eyes, ignoring the trembling of my body I forced myself off the bed and over to the window.

My forehead pressed against the glass as I watched people walk around the village I had grown up in, I hadn't realized I was crying until the glass fogged up from my sobs.

"Beautiful isn't it?" At the soft sorrowful voice behind me, I gave a slight start, continuing the sob as I stared at the village. My only answer a nod, before my legs finally gave out, but before I could fully collapse a figure grabbed me quickly. I stared at the masked man with a grey vest and a sword strapped to his back.

"Thank you, Yamato." The older man said before the masked man seemed to disappear after helping me back into the hospital bed.

That's when I noticed the bandages around my hands and arms, and how numb everything felt.

"The pain...It's gone?" At my soft question, the old man moved over to the window, seeming to watch me silently before speaking.

"Yes, they gave you strong pain killers to help with the pain, you've been under for about a week as they worked on healing you. But the damage done to your arms was too long ago, after healing around the chains that held you it took a lot to get them off. There will be someone to help with your therapy but its inconclusive if you will be able to move your fingers again." As the man spoke I couldn't help but stare at my fingers having already noticed how I couldn't even get them to twitch.

"My family, has anyone told them I'm alive?" As soon as the question left my mouth the older man seemed to sadden even more.

"I have been told you said your name before falling into the coma."

"Usagi Uchiha is my name," I whispered, not liking the sudden unwillingness to tell my clan about my situation.

"After looking into your history it was believed you had died in the nine tails attack 13 years ago."

"...13 years ago I wasn't killed but kidnapped when I had been on my way back home."

"By Takakura Kyoto?" At the sound of HIS name, I jerked slightly, looking towards the door of the room as I began to remind myself that I was free.

"yes..."

"Usagi Uchiha, older sister to Sasuke Uchiha, correct?" Suddenly I felt a sense of foreboding as the man spoke, my eyes falling on his figure as he stood facing the window.

"Yes, daughter of Fugaku and Mikoto Uchiha, twin sister of Itachi Uchiha. They will assure you of who I am, can you please just bring them here?... I need...They have to know I'm okay." Slowly my voice faded into a soft whisper, and I noticed the slight shaking of the older man's hand.

"You are the Hokage right, so you must know my dad." By this point, my voice was practically pleading with the man to believe that I was Usagi Uchiha.

"Usagi...I believe you...I just don't know how to tell you a truth that will surely hurt you." The man finally responded, turning to look at me, but I didn't seem to notice as I was curling into myself as tears fell onto my lap.

"I just want to see my family..." I croaked, and the man slowly made his way over to me before gently taking one of my hands. I stared at the bandaged fingers, noticing that I could not feel even the smallest motion from his hands.

"Usagi...I am sorry to tell you that your parents and the Uchiha clan...have almost been completely wiped out." The sudden pounding in my ears almost caused me to miss the next part, "Your brother Sasuke Uchiha is the only survivor..."

Even as the scream built up into my chest and I opened my mouth I could not hear it, I couldn't hear anything.

After years of neglect and torture, years of solitude and solicitation, years of feeling abandoned it all made sense. They never found me, because they could not look for me. They never found me, because they were gone. And once again I felt alone.

But then I remembered chubby cheeks and a crying face of a small baby Uchiha.

"Sasuke..." I gasped out, pushing away from the Hokage and onto the ground, I stumbled towards the door. I could only repeat his name, not noticing the figure of the masked shinobi from earlier being waved down by the Hokage as they followed me silently.

"Usagi...Your brother doesn't know of your existence, I'm not sure if-"

"NO!" Instantly I cried out, pushing my useless hands against the door, crying out in frustration at the realization that I would have to pull it, but unable to.

"I must find him, I must." I moved back before shakingly pushing down on the handle, almost giving a shout at the sudden burst of pain that ran up my arm. Instantly the masked man was by my side, gently pulling the door open for me before motioning me forward.

I followed him shakily as he brought me down the empty hall, then the masked man motioned for me to stop at a door.

Before he could knock I heard a slight sigh, "What am I doing here Kakashi, I should be practicing for the exam."

At the sound of the knock, the room fell silent and the masked man opened the door then gently placed a hand on my shoulder. I stumbled into the room, noticing it was an empty hospital room before falling on a man who was lazily leaning against a wall.
At the sight of me, he instantly pushed away from the wall, his eye trailing from me to the other occupant in the room.

Onyx eyes met onyx eyes and it seemed like the world froze, I hesitantly took a step forward as tears filled my eyes.

"Sasuke?"

"M-mom?..." His whisper broke through the room, and I instantly began to sob as I moved towards him slowly.

"N-no...I'm sorry, I'm not mom...I'm your sister...You wouldn't remember me, I was taken when you were only 3 months old." Sasuke stared at me with wide eyes, that slowly trailed down to my bandaged form before confusion and pain seemed to fill his eyes.

"You're my...sister?" He whispered, his eyes seeming to mirror the break in his mind at the realization.

"Yes, my name is Usagi." As I spoke I took another step forward before my legs gave out and I slumped to the ground in front of Sasuke. Instantly the boy stepped forward, along with the other two men in the room watching with baited breathe.

"Sasuke," I whispered, my arms wrapping around the shaking figure, whose eyes filled with tears as he suddenly lurched forward and gripped onto me.

"You should be in a bed, look at your wounds." He clenched out between his teeth, eyes taking in the wounds covering my shaking form.

"I had to see you..." I cried, my hands uselessly pressing against his back as my cheek smushed into his shoulder. With that everything went black.
