Before you start reading, I need to say that I am not a good writer. I just do writing for fun, and for time passing. Sorry if you expect more from this story, but I will try my best to make it enjoyable for the people who are reading.

Feel free to give me some advice on writing though!

(Edited me 9/21/22: This is an old work, please do not use this to measure my ability as a writer.)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I felt the sand in between my toes as I ran towards the direction the shadow was in. The sun was setting quickly as I continued running towards a boy. It was currently 7:53 PM, and we had to go home soon for bedtime. Looking over at the water near us, I stopped running and stared off into the distance.
"What are you looking at?" I heard him say. He had bright green eyes, and a huge smile across his face most of the time.
"Nothing interesting. Hey Midoriya, have you ever thought that we could be hero's one day?" Once I said that his eyes lit up like a thousand Christmas lights.
"Yeah, I love heroes! All Might is my idol!" Midoriya exclaimed out to me.
"You want to be a hero even when being Quirkless?" I pointed out to him. He immediately looked down to his feet in the sand.
"Just because I am quirkless, doesn't mean I can't try my best to become a hero. And I know that you will help me out, right best friend?" He looked at me with determined eyes once he said that. To be honest, it gave me a boost of confidence as well. I nodded as we started walking home.
Over the next few years, I grew to know who I was. Doing the same routine every day got very tiring and boring. But Midoriya always seemed excited for every new day. Although he knew he would most likely be picked on by Katsuki Bakugou, and his classmates. Seeing how Bakugou reacted to every movement Midoriya did make me realize something. Once we finished with Aldera Junior High, kids had a choice on where they wanted to go for high school. I picked UA, as did Midoriya and Bakugou.
"Hah! You want to go to UA without a quirk? You must be out of your mind!" Some kids from our class started saying. I could tell they were pointing the words at Midoriya. To be honest, I really wanted to help him out. But at the same time, I am not sure what may happen. The school bell rang as the kids started rushing out of class for the beginning of summer vacation. Midoriya and I were the last ones leaving the classroom as he started a conversation with me.
"You want to go to UA too?" Midoriya asked me.
"Yeah, I hope the entrance exam isn't too hard," I told him.
"I guess, but you have a better chance to get selected than me." He said as we went over to our next class. I could tell by his face that he was either very nervous or very determined.
(A few months later)
It was finally time to go to highschool. The entrance exam was one day away, and everyone participating was training their quirks for it. Except for me and Midoriya. We sat next to each other on a bench outside of UA's gates. I didn't want to train because I didn't really want Midoriya to be alone.
"Are you ready for the entrance exam tomorrow?" I heard him say as I turned my head to look at him.
"I guess, but are you?" I said replying to his question. He looked at me with determined eyes.
"I will try my best, and I hope you do to Akio-Kun!" He exclaimed out at me. I cringed at him saying my name. The name Akio sounds so uplifting, and I don't believe that my characteristics live up to that name. Although I don't like the name, I let them call me by that so they don't start thinking about some stupid things. I gave him a forced smile as I looked back towards the student's training, slowly looking over their quirks closely.
