"I fell in love with a boy a wasn't supposed to," Kamaria's words were soft as Elara watched in awe as the garden around her began to shimmer and change.
"His name was Kiron," The sky lightened around them and Elara couldn't contain the shock of seeing the garden in the sunlight.
She was surrounded by flowers, all of which were more vibrant in color than any Elara had ever seen. Even the most beautiful of roses were put to shame.
"They're called Gazania flowers," the deep timbre of a male voice caused Elara to jump back - right into someone else, causing both of them to fall to the ground.
"My Ki," Kamaria sighed wistfully on the breeze but Elara could no longer see her. Instead, the only two left in the garden was herself and the male. Kiron.
"Well, not my best attempt at sweeping a Goddess off her feet." Kiron chuckled as he stood from the ground and dusted himself off.
His honey eyes met Elara's as he offered her his hand to help her stand. Her eyes swept over his tall frame taking in his dark hair and a small dimple on his right cheek that popped when he smiled.
The garden began to shimmer around them. No longer was she alone with Ki. Her arm was intertwined with another and she followed the dark fabric up to meet a familiar pair of dark eyes.
Her body grew cold just at the closeness of this man, but she couldn't pull away no matter how hard she tried. Her eyes sought out Ki, looking for some warmth and somehow knowing he could provide it.
"Good Morning, Kiron. Please let me introduce you to Sethos. God of Chaos." Elara found herself saying as her eyes widened as she took in the infamous Sethos.
Never before had she seen anything but his eyes and now, here he was, standing and smiling politely with his arm twisted with hers.
She wanted to slap him and curse him to the darkest pit of hell. But she still couldn't move. Instead, she was stuck looking at the hurt expression flickering across Kiron's face and the smug expression of Sethos.
The garden shimmered again and Elara was glad to be rid of Sethos' presence.
Elara looked down and saw herself wearing a form fitted silver gown. The fabric soft against her skin like it was made to just rest ever so gently against her curves.
Her eyes scanned the room she was in. Many faceless bodies walked by her, the sounds of celebration echoing through the halls, but Elara was only looking for one thing.
A pair of honey eyes belonging to Ki.
Soon she was in his arms, his hand placed securely around her waist before they started floating around the dance floor. His eyes held hers and it was like time itself stopped.
Nothing and no one else mattered as long as they were together.
"Meet me in the gardens once the night is completely upon us," Ki whispered in her ear before disappearing.
To Elara's horror, Sethos took Ki's place, but being in his arms didn't feel nearly as good as being in Ki's.
"I'd like to make a speech," Sethos called the room to attention, twirling Elara so that she was next to him, with his hand placed on her hip.
"Tonight, I get to introduce the Kamaria, the Goddess of Night, as my fiance." Cheers erupted around the room as the many faceless people cheered.
