When Maddy woke up, she was still holding Ace. She might not be that much older then him, but she's still his aunt. And she cared about him.

He was fast asleep, his breathing steady and quiet. Maddy stood and made her way downstairs, she paused when she saw Demi in the kitchen. She sat on a bar stool leaning on the island.

"Hey Dem?" Maddy mumbled quietly. Demi jumped and turned holding her chest.

"Madz, you scared the shit out of me."

"Ace purged."

"He...what?"

"He purged last night."

"I knew it." Demi frowned and sighed loudly. After a moment she turned and walked away, leaving the frozen fruit on the counter.

Maddy frowned and finished making a few smoothies for the family. She heard a crash.

"What the...?" She slowly made her way upstairs not wanting to spook anyone.

Dianna was standing outside of Demi's room, banging on the door.

Ace sleepily sauntered our of Maddy's room looking to where Dianna was standing.

"Nana? What's going on?"

"Your mother.... she's... I think she relapsed..." Dianna held back tears and then turned to Ace, "And it's all because of you! You made her adopt some fucked up in the head kid! And she can't fucking take it! You have some fucking nerve! Coming into my house and-"

"Mother, why don't you shut the fuck up? All of us knew Demi was under stress. Relapses happen." Maddy growled at her mother. Dianna looked taken aback. She turned and ran to her own room.

Ace was wide awake now, "W-What do we do?"

"I-I don't know. I can't... I can't deal with this."

Maddy left. Leaving Ace to help his new mother on his own. He sighed and heard some sobbing from inside the room. His mind raced. Music. Running he grabbed his guitar. He sat outside Demi's room and played a few cords before singing.

By the end he had tears streaming down his face. The door opened and he fell back, and into Demi's arms, she held him, gently. After a few minutes he shifted, turning around to face her, he wiped some hair out of her face.
