"Sit. Tell me a little about yourself."

Ace obliged and sat. Quiet for a moment looking away from the two, "I'm Ace. A 13 year old..." he paused and cringed, "A 13 year old kid. And I've been in here since I was 8."

The three sat and spoke for a while. Demi then leaned over and whispered something to Marissa. The Brown haired woman shrugged a little. Demi nodded. "Please excuse me."

"How would it be possible for me to become a foster parent to Ace."

"Amethyst."

"Ace."

Mich groaned lightly, "Nothing. We have been looking for a home for it since it said it was a boy."

"He. Since he said he was a boy."

"If you keep arguing with me, we will not be signing anything and it will stay here."

"Where are the papers?"

Ace and Marissa sat in awkward silence when Demi walked in. "Ace, go pack your bag." Ace looked up confused but did as he was told.

"We can not let him come back." Demi said almost breaking down when the door closed. "That monster of an owner is horrible and should be shot."

Marissa didn't have a reply, "if that's what you want."

"I'm only fostering him right now." Marissa nodded at her.

"What about the drugs?" Marissa mumbled.

"You live in a hotel?" Ace's nose crinkled.

"No. Just staying here for a little bit. We fly home tomorrow." Ace shrugged and shoved his headphones in. Humming a random song lightly.

Demi and Marissa watched the closed off boy step out of the car and grabbed his stuff, feeling the tenseness of his following them in.

Demi unlocked the door and fell onto the couch, Marissa following suit and landing on top of the famous singer.

"Marissa!"

Ace smiled, "Is this a thing?" He asked quietly.

"No!" Demi shoves Marissa off of her and onto the floor.

His hair bounced as Ace shook his head.

"Max's old room is over there. He wanted his own room." Ace nodded and headed into the room, slamming the door behind him.

Demi has left Ace be.

"Ace, food!" Demi called tossing a small salad. Some breaded chicken on 4 plates next to her.

Ace stepped out of his room and oversized hoodie draped across his body with a pair of basketball shorts and glasses on. He looked his age now.

"I'm not that hungry." He shrugged a little.

"You don't have to eat all of it." He didn't dare ask for a calorie count. She probably didn't know.

He sat down at the table as Demi places the salad on the table. Marissa soon joined, then a buff man in black walked in.

"Ace meet Max. Max meet Ace." The two boys nodded at each other.

"Men." Marissa scoffed. Ace smiled in response.

"May we say grace?"

"I'm, not Christian." Ace said quietly.

"You don't need to join if you don't want." Ace nodded and Demi started to say grace.

When finished they all dug in, some a little slower then others. Both Demi and Ace ate slowly.

Ace finished about a quarter of his food before excusing himself. He went back to his room. But before making it inside spotted a guitar at the end of the hall. He grabbed it and snuck back into his room.

The slight strum of a the instrument could be heard,

"Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know
That everything you do,
Is super fucking cute
And I can't stand it
I've been searching for
A girl that's just like you
Cause I know
That your heart is true
Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know
That everything you do,
Is super duper cute
And I can't stand it
Let's sell all our shit,
And run away
To sail the ocean blue
Then you'll know,
That my heart is true
Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know
That everything you do,
Is super duper cute
And I can't stand it
You, you got me where you want me
Cause I'll do anything to please you
Just to make it through
Another year
You, I saw you across the room
And I knew that this was gonna
Blossom into something beautiful.
You're beautiful.
Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know
That everything you do,
Is super duper cute
And I can't stand it
Baby, I love you
I never want to let you go
The more I think about,
The more I want to let you know
That everything you do,
Is super duper cute
And I can't stand it
And I can't stand it
No I can't stand it"

Demi and Marissa were sitting outside his door when he finished. They both stood up and opened the door clapping, "That was wonderful!" Demi said loudly.

Ace's face was bright red, "T-thanks."

"What a bright boy."
