'Ring' 'ring' ' ring'

Hotaru's POV

" ahh! This alarm clock is gonna kill me. Urghh!!"

I tried searching for that stupid thing only to knock something off from the table.

" OI YOU CLUMSY ASS, JUST WAKE UP FROM THAT DREAMWORLD OF YOURS!!!" Shouted momo while shaking her clumsy friend aggressively.
" Why doesn't anyone in this world let me sleep peacefully ?"
I rubbed my eyes still drowsy and still half asleep.

"Haha, yes you could sleep as much as you want sweetie only if it wasn't 8:45 am ..."

Shit

" why didn't you wake me up earlier??" I said while waking up abruptly only to gain a what-the-hell look from momo.
I glanced at the clock to its 8:30 already.

I really am fucked up,huh.

I rushed to the bathroom taking all the clothes with me. I started showering while brushing my teeth.

Heh, I really am multi telented. :)

Getting myself dressed up, I rushed downstairs to the kitchen where I saw a not lying, Probably momo.

Get your lazy ass to the school as fast as you can. Don't wanna make the teacher Angry.

Aishhh this girl.

I kept the note back in place, took the food from the plate, put it inside my mouth and rushed outside the dorm after locking it.

At school ---

I reached the school on time.
I went to my locker while searching for that duckhead.

"Hotaruuu!!!", Speaking of the devil.
"Momo chill, calm down. I'm not 1km away that you need to shout", I said while massaging my ear that I felt had torn off.
" Oops, my bad. But leave it and listen, I heard that a new student is joining from today!" Said momo cheerfully.
" Yeah so?" I said out of boredom.
" What do you mean by 'yeah so' ? What if that student is a charming boy?!" Momo started squealing and everyone looked at us weirdly. I walked away from the scene to our class with momo tagging behind me.

Everyone rushed to their seats when they saw professor come in with a smile.
" Good morning class. We have a new student joining us from today. You may come inside." Ms. Shizu asked cheerfully as she stepped aside.
The whole class started whispering about who the new student might be. I put my head down suddenly uninterested. As I was going to close my eyes, the class suddenly became unusually silent even momo. Curiosity hit me as I looked up only to see a familiar face that I never expected I could see again.

Gin...

" Good morning everyone! I'm Gin. As you know I'm new here so, please treat me well and take care of me. Thank you."

That smile.

Tears welled up in my eye as I blinked those away.

" You can sit beside Hotaru. Miss Hotaru please raise your hand."

I hesitantly raised up my hand afraid to look into his eyes. He scanned over the until he found me. He gave a smile and walked towards the seat never breaking out eye contact.

" Hey. I assume your Hotaru-chan, hope to be a good friend of yours!"
He reached out his hand and I took it nervously. He exchanged a warm smile while mine, it was awkward.

I took off my attention from him to focus on what the professor was teaching, holding back the temptation to look at him at every fraction of seconds. The only thing that was running in my mind-

Does he remember me?

During lunch time ---

" Hey Hotaru, why don't we invite that new kid to join us? He looks quite lonely." Says momo pointing towards Gin who was sitting quietly having slight talks with people who come to talk to him.
" Y-yeah sure."

"Great! I'll go call him."
She ran off to him. I saw her asking him something and he replied with a 'sure'.

We three started talking to know more about him.
He said that he lives with his grandparents not so far away from our dorm.
As we made our way to the canteen, everyone started whispering about him.

Guess his too gorgeous, haha.
you After school-----

The school ended and we three started our way back.
After a couple of walks it was only Gin and me since momo had some work with her friend circle. The walk was awkwardly silent since u couldn't find anything to talk about.
" So hotaru-chan, I wanted to ask you something if you don't mind..." God, you're really a silence breaker.
" Yeah sure." I looked at him expectantly of what he wanted to ask until-
" Uhh... Why were you crying when I came inside ?" That was unexpected.
" Well you see, you kinda look like the person who used to be really precious to me." I said hesitantly biting my lips stuttering.
" What do you mean by 'used to'?" He looked so innocent while asking that question like he didn't know what I was talking about and that made me feel so vacant from inside.
" We got separated somehow though we didn't want to. But, you can't change the fate, can you?" I said trying my best to give a genuine smile but failed miserably. I guess he noticed it since he didn't asked anything further. The walk was now comfortably silent and I liked it somehow.

After 15 mins of walk we reached near my dorm and saw momo waving at me from our balcony. When did she come ?
Me and gin parted our ways but I glanced back at him after a while and coincidentally our eyes met. I quickly turned and ran away and so did he. Uwahh!!

After having our dinner, I went to bath. I came out threw myself on my bed. And all the incidents that happened today replayed in my mind.
I wonder if he's the same gin I used to play with or some other person having the same looks and name.
Even if he's gin, I doubt that we'll ever become the way we used to. Without his memories of us, he's distant from me even when we are so close...
