Izuku Midoriya is a green haired, freckled boy with a small frame, and a shy personality. He generally doesn't talk to anyone, besides Katsuki Bakugou sometimes, except for his really close friend Shouto Todoroki. He's socially awkward, and finds it hard to trust most people. He's doing well in his studies... but not so much with his own finances. So, today he is going to hang out with Todoroki, and see if he can help him find a place to stay, since he will soon be evicted from his apartment. (This is just a small introduction to get the story going)
"Midoriya," the bi-colored boy waves the tense boy over to the small booth. The greenette speed walks quickly to his friend, tripping over an extended leg, earning a harsh glare as he hastily apologizes. He finally makes it over to his patient friend.
The greenette sighs in relief when he sits down, after having completely humiliated himself, though nobody but Midoriya noticed anyways. He was just overthinking and making the situation into something way bigger and more serious than he needed to. The freckled boy seemed to do that often, and couldn't find a way to comfort his thoughts. He smiled weakly at his concerned peer.
"I'm so sorry I'm late," the small boy bursted our, earning glances from the cafe's occupants, "I got lost again, and then I tripped over my shoelaces, and then there was this dog that I just had to pet, and—" The larger young adult cut the anxious male off mid sentence.
"Midoriya," his tone was calm, and soothing, "don't fret. It's not like you were hours late." Todoroki smiled gently at him, encouraging a dorky grin from Midoriya. The greenette nodded silently, and waved down a waiter. He ordered a small caramel frappuccino, not using the proper cafe slang of course annoyed the waiter a bit, but the boy didn't seem to notice. He was too busy asking for a double chocolate muffin as his treat. He fished out a ten dollar bill from his pocket and handed it over, grimacing at how little change he knew he would be getting back. Midoriya turned back to his friend who sat across the booth.
"So," he started, "how do you plan to help me with my 'troubles'?" The small male hated talking about his financial situation, but Todoroki had promised to help him out.
"Well, as you know, I have a roommate," the taller boy paused, searching for the right way to word this, "but there is another bed in one of the rooms... So, I was wondering if—" Midoriya cut him off, rudely, by immediately accepting his offer. Midoriya had only been sleeping on the floor of his one room apartment since he had sold his mattress for rent money. It was uncomfortable and dirty, to say the least.
"You didn't let me finish," the dual colored boy chuckled, shaking his head in amusement.
"I know, but if you're going down the path I think you are, then I agree to it! I trust you very much, and I think us being roommates could be very beneficial," the green eyed boy replied, playing with the hem of his pastel yellow sweater. He was talking about his finances for the most part, but also his college studies. He wasn't the best at school, but Todoroki was constantly on the honor roll, so he could help Midoriya understand it better.
"Okay then," Todoroki said after a moment of still silence, "I'll come by your place later to help you load your things up. Have it all packed by 4 pm."
"That won't take me very long," Midoriya mumbled, knowing how little he owned anymore. Having been kicked out at such a young age, and so suddenly, he didn't have time to grab his personal belongings. Well, nothing more than some clothes, blankets, and heat related necessities. Specifically his collar, which adorned his neck at all times. His mother almost snatched it when he left officially, saying he didn't need it. He really did though.
The two boys finished their drinks and snacks, and then parted ways. Saying their proper goodbyes, so they could prepare everything for that afternoon.
4:00 pm
Midoriya stood on the curb outside his old apartment building with a box that could fit all of his belongings. He had a few hundred dollars in his pocket now from collecting his security deposit from the landlord. The apartment owner was sad to see the greenette, a long term tenant of several years, leave finally, yet he was happy to be rid of someone who was constantly late on payments.
Midoriya saw a slightly beat up car pull up to the curb where he stood, and then the driver side door open. Todoroki walked around the car to grab Midoriya's box of belongings from him, and then open the passenger door like the gentleman he was. The bi-colored teen smiled sadly, while internally wincing, at the lightness and smallness of the box that supposedly contained everything his friend owned. He shut Midoriya's door before climbing into the driver's seat. He started the car, and then started driving.
The pair made small talk, and occasionally sang along to the radio, for the duration of the 30 minute drive. The freckled boy's leg bounced up and down the entire time, a nervous tick of his that he had thought he had gotten over. His mind was racing with a combination of thoughts. Most were of how excited he was, others were how anxious he was to meet Todoroki's other roommate. What if he didn't want Midoriya to be there, and then he was left homeless? Bunches of 'what if's' ran through his mind at a lightning fast pace. Todoroki could smell the uneasiness in the smaller boy's pheromones. He pulled the car to a stop at a small, 1 story home.
"Don't worry Midoriya," the monotonous boy stated, "you are going to be able to live here without worry, okay? Just, be careful with my roommate." Midoriya flinched at that last part, so he did have a reason to be worried?
"He's just hotheaded, and he snaps randomly. If you just go with everything he's saying, and you stay out of his way, he won't bother you. Okay?" The greenette nodded. The dual colored boy muttered a quick 'good' before grabbing Midoriya's box, and opening his car door. The freckled boy opened his own door this time, and waited for Todoroki to make his way to the sidewalk with him. They walked up the short pathway, before opening the front door. They quietly removed their shoes, and stepped into the entryway.
"I'm home!" Todoroki yelled, startling the fragile boy next to him, "Sorry, my roommate makes me announce everything so I don't catch him in the middle of something." Todoroki coughed, making the innuendo evident to Midoriya, causing his innocent, omega self to blush.
Loud stomping, and low grumbling could be heard approaching the two boys who were just standing there.
"Fucking finally, you damned icyhot," the mysterious new boy groaned, "I'm starving. What did you bring?" Before Todoroki could respond, Midoriya spoke in a confused haze. He was frozen in place at once when he saw who the other roommate was.
"Kacchan,"
