#11 - Pizza

You have the house to yourself and you have invited your best mates round for a movie. Your all sat on the sofa watching 'Love Wrecked' and 'Clueless', when someone asks if you have any food - you have lots but its like gammon, that takes an 1h30m to cook. "Lets order pizza". you say, happily. You order three different half 'n' half pizzas, cookies and coke. And continue watching 'Clueless'. You were just at the scene where Elton tries to kiss Cher when the TV goes off and it all goes dark. All six of you scream, before the sensible one of your lot goes over to the window and sees that at 8PM all the lights are off in the street apart from the street lamp and on a winter night you would expect the lights to be on. You go to the cupboard under the stairs and grab the torch and use it to find candles and matches as the torch is flickering. You put all the candles on the coffee table when the torch dies. Yours and your five friends faces are illuminated by the matches. you sit round telling ghost stories for a little while when the bell goes. You walk to the door and open it. You stare in surprise as {your chrushes name} answers the door holding all your pizza.

"{his name}, what are you doing here? Are you working for the pizza place?" You ask surprised.

"No." he says smiling widely. "no, I just came round to see if you and the girls were okay." he looks at your blank face and explains more. "I over heard you and Emily speaking and when lights went out an 1h ago I thought that I would... err... use it as an excuse to come over and see you" he continues sheepishly. you blush and look down at the pizza.

"And you have our pizzas because?"

"Oh! I saw the pizza man get out the van so I paid him and brought them to you." He explained, "I think he watched me come up the drive to check I wasn't just taking them" he added as an afterthought.

You both stand there awkwardly when you notice that he is only wearing a thin T-shirt and cargo shorts.

"Oh shit! You must be freezing!" you exclaim in surprise.

"Just a bit" he says smiling.

Your shouting brought the girls out into the hall who take in the scene and realise what's going on. Your best mate starts laughing. You shoot a death state to her and she shuts up. "Ermm... come in if you want, we were about to have pizza, but of course you'd know that." you say.

He steps in and you all huddle around your living room playing truth or dare. A while later the lights and telly turn on again and you all make a run for the best seats. you get the end of the large sofa and Emily sits next to you. You're all on the sofa apart from {name of guy} and he comes over to you and asks it there is room for one more. Even though the girls have made plenty of room for him along the sofa he chooses to sit right at the end so he is next to you and you only and the armrest of course. You continue watching "Clueless" and on the bit where Cher & this guy (don't want to name the guy because i will spoil the film!!!) kiss {guys name} looks at you and holds your hand and you look into each others eyes and smile.

What a perfect night
