#2 - Spin the Bottle

It's your best friends party and you have everything and the most beautiful short red dress. You sit down on your couch waiting for your other friend, Millie, to come and pick you up. You leap out the seat when you hear the door-bell and kiss your parents' goodbye. 

"Hey Girl!" your friend calls as you open your polished wood door. 

"Hey, Mills'" you reply, "I love your dress!" and you truly do. It's a very tight black, soft material dress that's halter-neck and rather revealing. Just like her to top your dress off. You jump into her little black car and whizz round to your bezzies house.

By the time you get there the party is already in full swing and as you and Millie get out the car you feel quite a few eyes on the both of you.

"Hey Bitches!" shouts your best friend, Josie, to you and your friend as she runs down the path in her strappy silver heels and tight white dress. "You are just in time for Spin the Bottle!" she squeals excitedly. You all look at each other and smile. Millie spots Tom, a boy she knows (and likes!) and pulls him over to where we will be playing the game. "Oh, I invited Chris and he says he will play the game too," says Josie off-hand as if it didn't matter, even though she knows how badly you like him.

"Really?" you say biting your lip.

"Yup!" she replies.

"Oooh!" you squeal, a warm happiness spreading inside of you.

She drags your arm and pulls you inside her house and into the lounge. There are already many people that you know sat down in a circle. "I promise that I will try my best to get you with a nice guy, if not him" she whispers quietly into your ear. She calls over the rest of the people and you all sit in a wonky circle with an empty vodka bottle in the middle.

"Okay, so everyone knows the rules?" she asks rhetorically. "Youngest spins the bottle first. The first one it lands on you have to kiss unless you are a boy that's uncomfortable to kiss another boy then kiss the closest girl to that boy. And the same for girls! Also, we are going to give it a bit of a twist! When you have the two people they go in the cupboard under the stairs for a minute instead!

Irritatingly you are the youngest so you have to go first, but you are definitely glad you don't have to do it in front of everyone! You lean into the circle and twist the bottle hard on the wooden surface. It spins for a while and slows.......on........HIM! OMG! OMG! you cannot believe it and you feel happy and excited, but very nervous and scared. You have never kissed anyone before! You stand up shakily and Chris walks over to you and smiles and takes your hand - a good sign (you think!)

You go into the cupboard and Josie closes the door. You sand there in the awkward silence the time ticking too slowly. But just as you were about to give up and leave he slides his hands into yours and looks at you in the eyes smiling softly.

"Do you know that you are beautiful?" he says gently as you look at your feet in hope that he cant see you blush - before you remember that it's too dark. "Ever since you first started talking to me, I liked you, I just didn't know how to tell you."

"I like you too," you whisper, barely audible.

He leans in but you say "I've never kissed someone before."

He smiles and puts a finger to your lips and says "Shh. Never have I."

You are suddenly really shocked that such a good-looking, popular guy likes you AND has never kissed anyone before.

He leans in again and this time you lean in too.
