Zac's POV

"Let 'em know that we're still rock 'n' roll! Rock 'n' roll!" Autumn sang on the top of her lungs, rather badly. She was whipping up a cupcake batter for us to eat. I don't know what happened to her, she never cooks for us or anything. I guess it's only just for one time, never again.

Tristan found us in the park so he decided to take us home.

"Mom and Dad are going home tonight," Tris anounced, looking up from his phone.

"What time?" I asked.

"Around 5:00 I guess," He shrugged. I looked at my watch. I stood up and said, "2 hours from now."

"I'm not ready to see your parents yet!" Josh screamed.

"Who said you were gonna meet my parents?" I raised an eyebrow. "You three are going home when my parents arrive."

"Why?" Autmn whined and pouted her mouth.

"Because I said so."

"Wow Zac you could become a lawyer!" Tyler rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Why thank you," I bowed down formally at Tyler.

"How long does it take for those damn cupcakes to cook?" Josh said, annoyed.

The oven beeped and Autumn smiled, "It's ready!"

"Well how about you, Zac? How's life treatin' ya?" Dad asked, taking a piece of chicken, which Mum cooked, from his plate.

I looked up from my plate, still filled with food. I stopped playing with a broccolli and raised my eyebrows at my Dad.

"Oh yeah um, uh school's uh it's still pretty boring as usual. And yeah um, I still keep my grades up,'" I shrugged my shoulders and continued playing with the broccolli that was on my plate.

"Oh and Dad, I am now the official new captain of our basketball team. Pretty, awesome, right?" Tristan beamed.

"That's great news, honey!" Mum said, " How about you, Zander, any great - good news at all?"

"I got a job. It's not much but, it can help me with the rent and stuff. It's at a fastfood chain down the street, " I lied. I would never apply to a job, I couldn't even finish my own homework how am I supposed to handle orders and memorize them?

My Dad nodded his head and continued chewing on his food.

I sighed and stood up from my seat, taking the plate in front of me and putting it in the sink.

"You haven't even touched your food yet. Zachary, you'll starve to death," Mum said, slightly disappointed at the fact that I haven't even touched her famous oven-roasted chicken on my plate.

"Mum, it's okay. I'm not even hungry, I ate cupcakes and Chinese food before you guys came home. I swear, I won't go hungry like a lion that hasn't eaten for years. Mum, I'm good," I assurred her.

"Yes, Zachary. You won't go hungry 'cause you'll eventually die. A lion that has not eaten for years will not go hungry, it'll, of course, die," Tris pointed out.
