Chapter 4 - Ready, Set, Go (1)

"What am I supposed to do now, I have no clues of what happened or what's going to happen, I don't even remember everything, shards of memories are confusing me, and nightmares are making this even worse..." Sitting in the garden alone talking to myself and wondering if destiny is what brought me here or just luck, I looked up at the sky, the wonderful view of the clouds and the shiny sun reminded me of my homeland. I used to lay down with the princess in open fields and just spend hours staring at the clouds looking for weird shaped clouds or even give them names; it was fun and peaceful...

As I was sitting in the garden alone I heard a voice coming from a big bush nearby then a girl with blue hair wearing red dress jumped from the bush and landed infront of me, I looked at her strangely and with a sad voice I said "Ohhh hey there Lana" She smiled and replied "Hey Alex, chill out bud" "Don't worry I am fine" She opened her arms and hugged me tight "Everything is going to be fine, you're going to have so fun around the kingdom so stop worrying for a bit" I smiled then she hit me softly on the head "Let's get back to the main hall, we got a mission remember?" "Ohhh yeah true, ok let's go but how did you know I was here" "I am a ninja, it's my job to find people" She winked and laughed. While we were walking back to the main hall we met yang "Hello there young warriors, I recommend you to go check the weaponry before heading outside and get well equipped since Alex is new here and still got zero gear" He got me all excited to go check that area as he walked away "Let's go Lana, I need to find a suitable weapon for me". While heading to the weaponry we met Yang's twin, Ying "Hello there, I see you guys need better gear, why don't you head to the armory and check for some good armors?" I looked at him with a mad face "Make a decision god damn it, your twin told us to check the weaponry and you're telling us to check the armory, why the hell each one of you work far from the other and why both of you make opposite choices?" He laughed and said "You know...Dark and light, good and evil, black and white, always the opposite" I shook my head and we kept walking leaving him behind talking to himself and laughing at his own jokes like an idiot, I put my hands on the back of my head and said "What a crazy twin".

Well we finally made it to the weaponry, there were too many weapon shops, forges and arm dealers, we met with the other team members and chit chatted a little then asked Julie about what they are doing here but I got no answer because no one pied attention to my question, in fact they had their full attention on a big blue walled room, stuffed with many kinds of weapons. I got my answer minutes later "Drakos sent us here to pick new weapons for our future missions because our old gear got rusty and somehow useless or weak" Said Ana while still staring at the room, "Remember Alex, we don't always receive gear for free, we only do in some cases ...Like this one" "Like what case?" I asked while checking the store, it seems like it got my attention as well, "In this case Drakos will handle the payment, in other cases you may get them as gifts or as requirements to do a task or something like that".

I sat down on a chair watching everyone picking their weapons, Ana walked over to a man that seems like an enchanter, he held her green whip and attached a green gem to it making it glow green and grow small thorns on it, Nina opened a magical jar letting a fire spirit out which circled around her giant sledgehammer then finally got absorbed by it adding fire element to it, Jean picked up a white light sword and a couple of holy water and fire grenades, Hanaâ threw up her metal buckler and said annoyed "This shitty buckler got rusty, hey you there hand me that steel round buckler it looks strong enough to handle a couple of blows from sand Grobs or ogres", a man standing at a store counter picked the buckler and looked at Hanaâ then said "Perfect choice ma'am, this isn't any normal buckler, it can handle more than Ogres or Grobs or even trolls, if this shield got heated enough with the sun rays it can send any monster flying backward if they hit it, but..." Hanaâ took the buckler from the man's hands and said at the same time "Just give me the god damn buckler already". Meanwhile Lana was just standing there playing with her chest again while staring at a showcase of katanas confused which sword to pick, and you know a ninja cannot be a ninja without a good sword so I stood up, walked toward then "Stop doing that in public" I hit her on the head then pointed at a diamond sword that was put alone on a wooden old shelf covered with dust"Ouch...What are you pointing at?" She asked while rubbing her head, "Take that diamond sword it's a great ninja sword, my mother had one like that then lost it in some battle I think, she always loses stuff, all I know about that sword is it has some magical power within it, so you'll have to discover it yourself" She smiled and said "Thank you so much, I was searching for an awesome looking sword and you helped me out" She took the sword and jumped around happily swinging it in the air and making ninja sounds "This girl is insane" Whispered to myself while shaking my head. Last but not least, Jess found what she was looking for,the legendary thunder guns...The black and yellow sides of these guns had dragon design and they had the ability to shoot electro shock bullets and best part about the guns is when the weather is rainy they can summon thunder bolts from the sky that strikes nearby enemies and if the weather is stormy the guns merge with the thunder and transform into controllable thunder dragons...Way too many fancy weapons while I was still standing there looking for something good to use, so I walked over to a store that looked half empty, cobwebs were filling the whole store, and only cockroaches made it look a bit alive, suddenly an old man with a big white beard walked toward the counter and said with a voice that you can barely hear "Step forward son.." I walked toward the shop counter then asked"Do you have.." and right before finishing my sentence he held up my necklace,put on his old cracked glasses and said "I know what you're looking for" He picked up a big mysterious black box from the ground and dropped it on the counter then blow the dust off of it "Go on son...open it" ...
