Chapter 4 - Ready, Set, Go (2)

I put my hands on the box feeling its magic flowing through my hands while observing its design and the red drawings on it. As I was opening the box I felt some kind of mysterious power going into me, it was like if the box was responding to my touch or recognizing me which seemed strange to me, then what I saw inside surprised me, it was the legendary dark death scythe, a very famous weapon in my homeland, I was wondering what a weapon like this is doing here and I wasn't really expecting a weapon like it but let's just say that's what I was looking for, I thanked the old man as he said "I am glad to see one of you people here once again" He laughed heavily then disappeared into the back of the store, I didn't understand what he meant by that so I just ignored it and walked toward the team, they were happy with their new or upgraded weapons. I had fun watching them argue about which one's weapon is more badass and powerful while we were heading to the armory "Wow the boring crazy twin didn't show up this time" I said as everyone laugh. Afterward we walked into a hot big area, it was the entrance of the armory and the heat there was caused by the large amount of forges plus the melting furnaces and the huge fire that was coming out from a huge forge, it was used for special crafting. You can hear the sound of hammers striking the hot metal on the steel anvils and the shouts of armor dealers all mixed together from far away, anyone who's not used to noisy areas like this one is guaranteed to receive a free headache. There was an armor shop owner who was yelling out loud "Come one come all come again come once and come twice for the best quality and price" blah blah blah he couldn't stop yelling for a second "Come here people we have all kinds of armors, for warriors wizards soldiers mages gunners and many more classes...Come here and buy we got all kind of armors..." Ohhh god you will get armor plus a free headache, well atleast he wasn't lying about having everything, he had some great sets like the mirror armor, the dragon scale armor and some magical armors as well as shields. Later on after the girls took their time to find something cool that suits them perfectly -and by perfect I mean pretty or attractive...God damn fashion for this people comes before self protection, some people just pick the fanciest sets or focus on defense only, I always choose my equipment depending on the type of mission, location, battle or the type of powers I'll be using- everyone took his own set and got into the changing room except me, I was still looking for something to fit me like a dark warrior or a dark death reaper. Ana came out wearing a purple princess dress, Nina wore a black and white kitten dress, Jean a camo soldier outfit, Hanaâ kept her Saharan clothes while Lana came out wearing black ninja costume with a red belt around her waist and ninja mask that covers her face only leaving her blue hair outside, I was about to lose hope finding something good then the old man that I've met at the old store who gave me my weapon showed up carrying a box and laughing like Santa Claus, he walked toward me and handed me the box saying "Ohhh sorry I was about to forget something important, in this box you'll find the second part of the Dark Death Reaper equipment, you don't need to thank me I'm just returning favors hahaha" He laughed and walked away. Finally I found death reaper outfit, a black long hooded robe with long and large sleeves and it had with it a skull necklace with the ability to gather slain weak monsters souls and turn them into energy, "How do I know that? This is strange the set is responding to my touch as well like if it used to be mine or something" I wondered to myself then walked into a changing room without noticing that Jess was inside, she looked at me and screamed then tried to slap me, but I was fast and dodged her then "SLAM !!!" I got kicked on my stomach out of the changing room, hell yeah I forgot she had thunder abilities which make her faster than me...For the moment. She covered her body and said in a mad voice "Learn how to knock the door next time" I replied sarcastically "Learn how to lock the door next time". 15 minutes later she came out wearing blue and white jacket and a tight white leather pants with yellow stars design on it, and thunder bolt symbol earrings, I changed my clothes aswell, putting on the dark death reaper outfit and covering my head and face with the dark hood, black thorny gloves on my hands, I held the dark death scythe on my back then put on my family accessories, Rikal amulet around my neck along with the skull amulet, Berma bracelet around my wrest and Saria ring on my finger. After we got done we got requested immediately to head to the training ground, "let's see now what everyone got" Said Ana while she was taking the lead and rest of the team following her. This is it, the last area before heading out to complete that task. As we arrived Drakos was awaiting us with the boring crazy twin, they started explaining how to use the training system and change the difficulty of the fight, there was some moving targets and fake dolls and some other tools for training, this room had a high technology system, so everyone started training and practicing with their new equipment, "That's it guys, you look amazing and strong" Said Ying, then Drakos pulled out a magical scroll and said "One last gist from me" He spelled some magical words and summoned an elemental spirit out from the scroll, the elemental spirit is a legendary spirit that can use all five primary elements, the spirit made a bright light in the room strengthening the girls elemental powers and fading back into the scroll, "Try out your new powers ladies" Said Ying, Ana twirled her whip in the air making long thorns grow from the ground, Nina stroke the ground with her sledge hammer making a straight line of fire rise high from the crack she made on the ground with that strong strike, Jean moved her sword from the back to the front shooting light beams, Hanaâ blew air out of her mouth forming tornadoes and finally Jess jumped in mid-air with one leg folded and shot down thunder bolts out of her guns. Don't ask, Lana is just a skillful ninja with no magic, and there is me who need to earn his powers all by himself... "Train hard to get used to your new abilities, and the best way to do that is on the field" Said Drakos, I looked around seeing everyone smiling happily feeling strong and ready to do tasks, but were they really ready for unexpected danger and hard tasks? That's a question only time will answer. Later after training a bit more a man in wearing assassin clothes came across Julie and gave her a letter, his face was hidden with a white mask and lots of daggers and other items were attached to his belt and a long sword on his back, Ana said after he left "That was our messenger, he will be bringing information from Drakos to us, as well as other useful information, also you can check the pub later to see the tasks that are available, and now..." She yelled out loud saying "Let's huuuurrryyyy...The fast task is waiting us and if we don't act quickly we're going to have troubles on our hands". We headed directly to the main gate as fast as we could, the guards stopped us then the guards master gave us the world map, some supplies like potions and antidotes and some food then said "be careful warriors stay safe and shall the god be with you and don't forget to come back in one piece, we don't have many brave warriors like you" He waved with his hand as we ran forward toward the unknown heading straight into a journey full of danger and mysteries...
