I don't think I like this planet anymore. Not after everything people have done to it.
It was once a very happy place to live in, that's what I heard. But now? Now is totally different.

I just got fired from my job, something abou some legal terms I think. But i know what the problem actually was. I am a 22 year old lesbian, and on this planet, that's not allowed.

How will I ever explain this to Steph? I guess I just have to find out ...

So I was walking down the street, to our one-roomed apartment, when a soldier grabs me by my T-shirt and pulls me near the corner of a bulding.

"Stay here!" He muttered, going right back into the fight.

I think a witch is causing trouble again. They came out from their hiding around 20 years ago. Apparently they have been around for a while. And I do think people have had problems with them before.

Sadly, they don't look harmful to me. They have nothing to be angry about. But the press is getting freaked out about it, so all the peope do, too.

I still get home early, so i knock on the door, praying for Stephanie not to be home. But she openes the door, looking really confused.

"What happened to you?" She asks, a little panicked.

"I got fired" I quickly say, moving my look to the ground.

"Again?"

I don't even know how to respond. My eyes are full of tears.
Steph noticed the way I felt, so she softly grabs my hand and drags me to the couch. She turns on the TV we have installed in the wall, and as it checks my emotional state, it goes to a music program. I smile. Stephanie ckearly programmed it to do that.

"I have something to tell you" she said after a while.

I look at her. She never hides anything from me. What is it that she wants me to know?

"I found an article in the digital news that might help us"

I already know that, when she says "help us" it means getting away from this world's problems. So i got a little bit excited. Does it still matter that I lost my job, if there's a way to escape?

"I would actually name this a -escape- " said Stephanie like she was reading my mind.
She touched the cofee table twice, and the hologram of the daiky news paper popped up. She flipped through the pages, stopping before the comic page.

I angrily look at the TV, wich instantly turns off. I don't have time for the cheerful music now.

As Stephanie zoomed in, I could make out the words of the article.
A couple was wanted for a big experiment at NASA. They discovered a new planet, millions of light years away from Earth, wich they named Planet Z. They needed a young couple to make their way on the planet and explore the surrounding and report if the climate was alright.

I opened my mouth, just to close it back. This is perfect. Tomorrow we will be at the NASA station, ready for the audition.

I'm so excited.
