After burying the warriors and the rituals to let their bodies, souls and spirits rest I returned to my study where I carried out my duties as king. Though my mind would often wander, in the past, we all suffered, but things have changed since then, I am a king, their king. I let my people do as they please, they love me. I'm a good king, yet still, the mortals hate us, they kill my people and try to harm my family. And of course, there's him, who sends others to do his work, who won't take responsibility for his own actions, who will punish those who have done nothing but will reward those who have wronged like him.
As I slipped deeper into thought, I became unaware of the plot boiling behind my back, and of the struggles that would come after the fact.
(Allia's pov)
I was passing by my window, my mind was going quickly. I knew I had to leave somehow, not only did I not want to be here for the beginning but now I'm causing more trouble than ever before, why does this bother me? Well they may just be demo's but they aren't all as bad as they say, some are good, I like them those I used to fear aren't that bad anymore, like Senron, I use to believe that he would kill everything in his path with no regrets or regards for those around him, but he actually does spear his opponents and even feel regret if he so much as accidentally trips someone, unless they really angered him. I've even started to trust the king, but only just so I'm still very careful around him, I won't let my guard down.
Unfortunately, my thought was interrupted by someone coming into my room I expected it to be Zamili or Armenia but instead, I turn to find two boys who look no older than 14.
Allia: what are you doing in here?
Boy 1: we came to ask if you were going to run away?
Allia: what?
Boy 2: we know you don't like it here and that you don't like our dad,
Allia: you're dad?!
How many kids does he have?
Boy1: yes, I'm Kromus
Boy2: and I'm Lemos
Kromus: we're his firstborn sons,
Allia: I see,
Lemos: please don't leave yet,
Allia: what? Why shouldn't I?
Kromus: because people like you,
Lemos: zamili likes you and so does grandma and aunt Armenia!
Kromus: you don't really know us but we like you too, you're really nice to everyone,
Lemos: so please don't leave yet
Both boys look at me with big pleading eyes at that moment I could see how similar they were to the king, they had his features, more so than their sister, but they were softer than his, almost sweeter. I sighed softly before giving them a sweet smile.
Allia: ok, you win, I won't,
Both boys smile joyfully at those words and actually came up and hugged me. I was kind of shocked at first but I smile softly and hugged them back. After that, they both left. I turn to my window and look out onto this strange world, three months, that's how long I've been here. I'd seen those boys before, but I never realized that they were his, I probably should have thought, I guess I never really go out, except for when I go eat or when a knight comes in to challenge the king, and if I do I'm with the humans making food or cleaning, so maybe I should walk around a bit more, but then again why should I? In the end, I'll be taken back, so why should I spend more time with them? I was so lost in thought I didn't even notice the Knight arriving for a new challenge, and this one wasn't alone.
After a few moments I heard running go by my room, so I went to my door, opening it and poking my head out. From there I see many demonic servants running past just as the king and Armenia run by towards the throne room. As per usual my curiosity got the best of me and I found my self going into that very direction.
