I

saw Tonni pulled back by her hair, the sight of it almost made me burst into tears right then and there. She wanted me to run, but I couldn't bring myself to do so. My brother gave a punch to her nose before he was thrown off by someone. The person shouted at us to run, followed by us obeying without hesitation. Tonni and I ran as fast as we could, until she tripped on a tree root and hit her head on another. "Tonni!" I cried out. A female with brown and blue hair with scars on her face started running towards us. "Is she still alive?" She asked worriedly as she finally made it over. I nodded my head as she gently scooped up my raven haired twin in her arms. She looked over her to see if there were any injuries. I could see a purplish blue lump forming on her forehead, but besides that, she only had a few scrapes and a cut on her eyebrow. I felt hot tears pouring down my face as I looked at my sister in this state. The woman grabbed my hand gingerly as she pulled me up and off of the forest ground.  She looked at me like a concerned... Parent.
Her looking at me like that just made the tears come down faster, sending shakes and sobs through my little body. Her parents were gone, her brother was a 13 year old psychopath, and her sister was busted up and unconscious. 'what now?'   I thought hopelessly. The woman knelt down and laid my sister on the ground. She then enveloped me in a comforting hug, stroking my hair as I hugged back, crying and sobbing on her shoulder. "W-why did you s-save u-u-us?" I managed to choke out. "Because I saw what that boy was doing to her and immediately I knew I had to help. I'm not as cruel as I look, small one." She replied calmly. Her voice was soft and soothing. Everything about this woman was just so... comforting. She pulled away from the hug and put my sister over her shoulder and grabbed my hand. "Where are we going?" I asked. "To where I live. I want to make sure you two stay safe." She responded. We made our way to what looked like an old, hidden cottage. I saw a few flowers around it, as well. We walked up to it and she let go of my hand to open the door. As we went inside, I looked at everything in that room. There was a couch and a chair that looked like it hadn't been sat on in a while. There was also a bookshelf in the far corner of the room. I went over to the couch and sat down, feeling very tired. "Rest now, child. When you wake up, I'm sure your sister will be awake as well." She said. Before I fell asleep, I had to ask, "What's your name?" She smiled sweetly at me before replying;

"My name is Melody Darelein."
