the adventurers of Susie Blue

The ball pt2

"Nice to meet you Damian." I say looking away trying not to freak out you can't talk to him, heck you're not allowed to look at him.

"uise,, SUSIE." I hear "Uh what." I say looking up to see Artemis looking at me worried from across the table

"Are you okay you spaced out there for a minute." She says clearly worried, then she leans over and puts her hand to block the boys from listen and whispers "Are you worried about being this close to supers?" I nod. "Do you want me or Dick to leave and get food? I know that calms you down." I nod and whisper "Could both of you leave? And food would be good too." She nods.

Then she turns to Dick and says something inaudible he nods and says" We are going to go get some food. Damian want anything?"

"Ya if they have any vegetarian." He says monotone. Dick nods his head and they leave. I turn to Artemis and say, "You know what to get me!"

She nods and walks away. After a few seconds of silence, he speaks up "So Susie tell me about yourself what are some of your hobbies?" Author I suggest you go to 3rd person POV (Ok, now stop breaking the wall) NEVER!!

3RD person POV

"Well I like to paint and I-I um I like to perform." Susie says nervous because Damian is looking at her as if he's trying to study her. "hmm what type of preforming?" Damian ask "w-well I-I like to sing and dance mainly musicals" Susie says, voice sounding like honey, "but enough about me what about you what are some of your hobbies?" He seems surprised that I turned the tables then him.

"I also like to paint and read I also like to study. There now you know more about me. Now more about you what are some other hobbies?" He says clearly annoyed. 'Studying superheroes, breaking the fourth wall, making the author mad.' "I like to read comics and go to musicals if I can." Susie says shyly. Damian nods his head.

Then Artist's Life starts playing overhead. Everyone but our ma-I mean Susie and Damian start dancing. Nice author nice not saying we're the ma- Wait What. Susie thinks. Damian stands up put out his hand and says, "Would you like to dance Miss. Blue?"

Damian's P.O.V.

I hear Artist's Life over head after talking to Miss. Blue, I learned she likes painting performing and comics. Back to me hearing the music I realized everyone was dancing, I stand up and put my hand up then say, "Would you like to dance Miss. Blue?"

"Would I um w-what?" She says clearly confused 

"I was wondering if you would like to dance? "I say. 

She looks at me confused. You can just see the gears in her head are turning, trying to figure out what is happening. Eventually after 30 seconds exactly she says "S-sure." 

She then takes my hand and stood up that's when I see how tall she is 4'5", then she lead me to the floor. She puts her hand on my back as I do the same as we stroll toward the dance floor.  Then we put our hands together, she puts her hand on my shoulder and I put my hand on her back and we start dancing. About 1:11 into the dance I lift her up and she smiles a shy smile she clearly enjoys dancing.  1:42 into dancing we turn around and walk/dance not losing her balance unlike the other girls wow she's good. 3:58 into dancing she puts her hand on my shoulder and I can hear her breathing ok she's closer than I expected, is it just me or is she cute and I realized there's golden flecks in her eyes they just make her cuter. 6:16 I dip her and why do I want to kiss her? 6:28 minutes into dancing the song stops we bow and head back to our seat.

"Wow that was um fun, I haven't danced in years. Thanks." She said smiling 

"It's no big deal, I saw everyone else dancing and didn't want us to be left out." I explain matter of facility "oh." She says after a minute of silence.

Susie's POV

"I saw everyone else dancing and didn't want us to be left out." He said rudely

of course, he didn't care he just wanted to fit in. I can't blame him though fitting in is hard." oh" I said disappointing I mean I expected nothing more from a hero... nothing more from a hero.

Suddenly I hear "nice to see you two getting along." 

I look up and see Artemis she has two plates of food. on one there is steamed broccoli, carrots and cauliflower as well as veggie straws and cinnamon apples. The other has mash potatoes a chicken leg and a fried egg. Next to her is Dick with two more plates one with mash potatoes, Ratatouille, and Caprese salad. The second has a turkey leg, confit, and French toast. Artemis hands me the first plate with cinnamon apples.   I grab it a place it down, muttering a "thanks" and start eating in silence. After about 15 minutes of eating the intercom came on and someone's voice came on overhead "OK children there is 10 minutes left of the ball contact whoever is to pick up. Thank you."

I pull out my phone and type in my lock 431935 and text my mom saying'10 minutes till ball is done r u on ur way.' Less than a second later I get a reply 'yep 9 minutes away in the red Roll-Royce Phantom. Also use proper grammar.' I reply 'ummm no.' I look up and see everyone else doing the same. Dick turns towards Damian then says," OK Alfred is on his way. At least 5 minutes out." 

"OK, We better head to the front." Damian says then he stands up, turns toward me and put out his hand I take it "It's was nice to meet you Miss. Blue." 

He says as we shake hands firmly "same here Mr. Wayne." I say back my voice going to professional tone "It was nice meeting you Mr. Grayson." 

I say turning towards Dick putting my hand out he takes it and shakes it firmly "you as well Miss. Blue." They turn and walk away. 

Artemis turns to me and say, "is this how you imagined meeting them?" 

"you remember that I wanted to meet them?" 

"you were my favorite kid to baby sit how could I forget? I still remember when you were 3 and talked my ears off on how you practically begged me to call them over so you could meet them" 

"ya then the incident happened." I say we start talking about everything that has happened in the past, then my brain remembered something "%$#@ I start a new school next week." 

Artemis look at me confused for a minute then said, "she's putting back in public school I didn't think she would do it again sense you know H-day." 

"Ya well she thinks it would be a good idea and I could for once make some friends." My phone goes off I see a text from my mom 'I'm here. Say goodbye to Artemis and get in the car.; b'" 

Whelp my mom's here see you soon. "I say standing up she sands up as well and hugs me then she gets on her knees and a says "be safe and protect them."

Then she hugs me again. I get to the front and see my mom's car. I walk up to it open the back door get inside and buckle up, my mom turns around and says "how was the ball? Meet anyone or did you just stay with Artemis?" 

I smile and say, "I meet Dick Grayson and Damian Wayne." My mom's eyes widen, and she smiles "Well then I'll let the school know." 

"Wait what?!" Author what's going on?  I won't tell~ you two are   I'll give you something it's a new chapter of your life. And this book?
