Thursday pt2

This ones long so buckle up. =D

18 minutes later

Susie POV

I reach the shop 4 minutes early and go inside. I look around for a while, seeing nothing I like, I head outside and check my watch 3:58... two minutes and I can possibly get a new friend, if not I at least know one hero better. On 4 o'clock, on the dot, I see a red motorcycle pull up to the shop. I see the rider has a yellow shirt and blue jeans on as well as a gray hoodie. They get off the bike and remove their helmet. It's Damian, his hair isn't it's usual spiked up, it's a little tamer, the black locks off to the side a little. He looks at me and frowns? Did I do something? Does he not like my outfit? Is the place that bad? Then he speaks up "Why are you wearing a leather jacket in this weather it's 90 degrees out here."

To which I jokingly reply, "says the one in a hoodie."

"That's not-" He starts then sighs "Never mind"

Damain's POV

I arrive at the shop 4 o'clock on the dot, I get off the bike with a little difficulty. I notice Susie standing there and look at her outfit she's wearing a Spiderman tee, pink jeans, leather high heel boots, and a pink jacket. Wait no, not a jacket, no it's a leather jacket. I frown. She flinches upon seeing my frown and looks a little scared. Why does she look scared and why is she wearing a leather jacket? I ask, ''why are you wearing a leather jacket it's 90 degrees out here." I decided the first question might be a little personal.

She smiles slightly and says, "says the one in the hoodie."

"That's not-" I stop myself realizing its useless to argue I sigh ''Never mind, would you like to head inside before or after you have a heat stroke."

"Before." She says

3rd person pov

They head towards the shop, Damian opens the door for Susie, she smiles. Near the door of the shop and to the left there is a couch. About three feet forward, there is a counter with a cash register and behind the counter there is a door to the back of the shop. The shop has book shelfs displaying comic books and collatable figurines. No one is in the shop except a guy behind the counter and Susie and Damian. The two sit on the couch with a little space between them. After a few awkward seconds Damian starts the conversation by saying "I understand meeting at a quiet place but why a comic book shop?''

"Well it's because – it's because I love to read comics and escape from the real world." Susie said as she started fiddling with her jacket sleeves. "Al-also this place is quiet and-and this area of town is pretty chill, and they don't really care if you're from a rich, poor or middle-class household. All they care about is are you kind and are you accepting?"

"Accepting of what exactly?" Damian asked

"Peoples past, differences, orientation anything and everything. They'll be there for you."

Damian nodded his head in understanding, honestly, he thinks this place is amazing

"But we aren't here to talk about the city. We are here to get to know each other better." Susie says they fall back into awkward silence until Susie says, "So are, we gonna talk and get to know each other better or what?"

Damian shrugs "I don't know it's not like we know each other that well that's why we came here and its not like we can just play a board game and immediately know each other."

With that I literal light bulb went off above Susie. Did I mention the shop has 3 lights? All 2 feet away from Susie and Damian? No ok. The light bulb disappeared as soon as it appeared, Susie snapped her fingers and smiled brightly the gold flecks in her eyes glistening in the light. "That's it we can play a game." Susie states Damian tilts his head slightly and raises an eyebrow. "Me and my old friends used to ask each other questions going back and forth like a game the first person asks a Question the other person answers and then asked a question and so on and so forth. A person can skip a question if it's too personal."
