Prepare for Love: A Team Rocket Story

•Chapter 17•

"And make it double!" responded James. He could feel his parents and Jessebelle glare at him, but he didn't care. He was finally going to be free of this awful place.
"I believe you have something that belongs to me." said Jessie slyly. Jessebelle gritted her teeth.
"Now Black Thorns, attack!" yelled Jessebelle. Suddenly, the maids and butlers ripped off their outfits to reveal dark uniforms. They all released Cubones and they got ready for a battle.
   "Cubone, use Bone Club!" they all shouted at once. The Cubones prepared their attack when Jessie yelled, "Arbok, come out and use Poison Sting!"
   Jessie threw her Pokeball into the air and out came a giant purple snake. The Cubones flung their bones at Arbok, which was super effective. Arbok took the full blow of the bones, but managed to get back up and launch its Poison Sting, which unfortunately didn't do much.
   James ran away from the altar and joined Jessie and Meowth at the end of the aisle.
   "I knew you would come back for me," said James joyfully.
   "Now is not the time to get sappy, James," replied Jessie, "we've got a battle to win."
   "And we're gonna help you do it." said a voice behind them. Team Rocket turned around to find Ash, Misty, and Brock, ready for battle. Pikachu's cheeks sparked with anticipation, Misty's Starmie was ready for action, and Brock's Onix was ready too.
   James released his Weezing and Meowth unsheathed his claws. They were ready to do whatever it takes to get out of that place.
   The Black Thorns launched another Bone Club attack, which Arbok and Weezing successfully dodged. Pikachu struck back with a Thunderbolt, and a bone hit him right in the face. 
   "Pikachu! Are you okay?" cried Ash.
   "Pi-pikachu" Pikachu replied weakly, but still got up again.
   "Starmie use Water Gun!" yelled Misty. Starmie shot out its Water Gun, which was super effective against the Cubone. Some of them fell to the ground.
   Brock had his Onix use Dig and it dove under the floor and shot back up, knocking out the remaining Cubone.
   "It's over, Jessebelle," said Jessie. "We win, now let James go." Jessebelle, the Black Thorns, and James' parents all stood still, staring at the massive posse of Pokémon that were unmatched compared to the Cubone.
   "Ash," said James, "I think you know what to do here." Ash nodded his head and stepped forward.
   "Alright Pikachu, hit em with Thunderbolt and send them flying!"
   Pikachu got ready and shot out powerful volts of electricity from his cheeks, electrocuting Jessebelle, the Black Thorns, and James' parents. There was a huge explosion and they all flew through the roof.
   The entire gang celebrated, shouting and cheering. They left the mansion and stood in front of the doorway.
   "Who knew the twerps were going to help me out." said James. Everyone laughed and said their goodbyes, for their work here was done. Everything would go back to normal the next day.
   "James," said a sweet voice. James turned around to see Jessie standing close to him.
   "J-Jessie," stammered James. "Uh, I just want to say thanks for saving me. It means a lo-"
   James was silenced by a sweet kiss from Jessie. James was shocked at first, but then kissed her back. It was the sweetest thing he had ever tasted. When they finally broke apart, they stared into each other's eyes, only to be broken by Ash and Meowth grossing out, Misty gushing, and Brock just not really caring. The two blushed madly. James took Jessie's hand and guided her to the balloon. Meowth followed and they waved goodbye to the twerps.
   And so, their next adventure begins. But not to steal Pikachu, but to discover their new relationship with each other.
