Chapter 18: Journal

"What do you think would have happened after that?" Ron exclaimed after hearing the whole story from the Potter twins.

"Voldemort's wife died and he wanted revenge so he went after their parents." Hermione shrugged.

"No, I meant the love between Lily and Severus. Why did she choose James? Severus seemed to be a good and innocent one back then. If Lily had married him, we would've got a kind Potions master. Just imagine that." Ron opened his eyes widely.

"Kind Snape or Strict Snape. You will still not know how to do a potion." Hermione teased him.

"Why are you being silent?" Ron asked the twins.

"Actually, we have a lot of questions than you do." Harry said not moving his eyes from the fireplace.

"Let us keep it aside. We have a lot of homework to do." Hermione pushed the books towards them.

"Here comes my grandms." Laura pinched at Hermione's right cheek.

"I have decided." Laura declared after writing her homework silently.

"Decided what? To make me write the remaining of your homework?" Hermione glared at her.

"No. I'm going to ask what happened next in their story to my Godfather." Laura collected her books to leave.

"Let me come with you." Harry stood and ready to leave with her.

"If Snape sees you with her, he might not tell the story." Ron rolled his eyes.

"No, he will." Laura pulled her twin along.

They reached Snape's office, but he was not there. They decided to wait by sitting near Snape's desk. Laura noticed an empty dairy.

"What is that?" Laura went to take the dairy.

"I suppose that he might not like others touching his things." Harry warned her.

Ignoring him, Laura picked up the dairy and flipped through the pages. None of the pages were written. She saw the nearby cupboard filled with a lot of dairies. Each with a year's number mentioned on top of it.

"What are you two doing here?" Snape asked in a rough voice.

"We...Um..." Harry stammered.

"We met Dumbledore and he told how you spied on us. I came to warn you to not do it again." Laura managed to force anger in her voice.

"That was for your safety, Laura. If you are so disturbed by that, I will not do it again. You can leave now." Snape watched the twins leaving and grabbed the dairy from his desk. He locked it in his cupboard.

-Library-

"An empty dairy?" Hermione asked.

"Yes. I saw the whole cupboard with dairies." Laura hissed back.

"I am sure that the other dairies will also be empty."

"How do you know that?"

"Because I read somewhere about these kind of dairies." Hermione said.

Both the girls went through the stack of books in the library and finally found a book about magic dairies.

Shouting dairy

Crying dairy

Vanishing dairy

Invisible dairy....

The chapters were endless.

"I cannot do this." Laura pushed away the book that looked like a pillow.

"But I can do this." Hermione pulled the book towards her and started reading.
