HASHTAGS are the most important thing for your book(s) here on Wattpad. I didn't get the hang of which ones to use until last year. I've been on wattpad all together for 5 years, counting other accounts, and always had confusion when it came to tagging my story right. One day, I had an idea to use the hashtags that are listed on the home page. By browsing the categories on the home page, I saw the suggested/trending tags for that said genre.
For example, say my book genre is vampire: I would go to home, then browse and select.

Then, by clicking on it, I would see the trending/suggests tags

If you have the new app version, go to browse, then click on filters and the recommended tags will there at the bottom. This WILL get you traffic and ranks.
