~a year later~
I was with Annette at a One Direction concert. We were having the time of our lives and it was also our first One Direction concert that we've been to. There were thousands of signs here. I could see a girl in a one direction shirt holding up a sign saying "You're writing the story of our lives." A few sections away a girl had a gigantic sign with "THE ONES BEHIND US CAN'T SEE" And there were many others like "You make us strong!" "I love you more than pizza"
The concert was ending soon and it was one of their last songs.
"Alright everyone! We have one last song for you!" Harry announced as screams erupted from the stadium.
"This is from our new album, and it's called 'Diana' " Louis added.
"We met a fan around a year ago and her name was Diana." Zayn explained.
"So we wrote this song for her. And all of our fans who are going through difficulties in life" Niall continued.
"We hope you like this song!" Liam said into his mic.
I was breaking down in tears as Annette consoled me. Looking around, I then realised that joining this fandom was the best decision I had made. It's like having another few million friends who understand you and the best part was knowing that you're not alone. And after being in the directioner for over a year, I understood the true joy of being in this fandom. Because we're not just a fandom, we're more than that. We're a family.
"Diana, let me be the one to light a fire inside those eyes. You've been lonely, you don't even know me, but I can feel you crying.
Diana, let me be the one to lift your heart up and save your life. I don't think you even realize baby you'd be saving mine."
"We love all of you and don't ever forget that. When the world is bringing you down just remember that we're here and we'll never leave." Harry said.
