"Get up summer" my little sister Jenny screams down the corridor.
I nod even though I know she can't see me but I don't talk, I haven't spoken for 7 years not even a murmur.
I think to myself for a while, the usual, what's the point in school, why do I have to get up, all that type of crap.
I stay in silence for a few minutes staring at the ceiling.
Then suddenly I realise I'm going
To be late for school, I jump up, strip of my pjs and run to my bathroom.
I turn on the shower and jump in, Jesus Christ it's freezing.
I wash my long chestnut brown hair, 2 shampoos and a condition.
********
"Hurry up summer" shouted mum
I nod silently at her.
I jump in the car slamming the door behind me, I see my sister wince at the loud noise. "Jesus summer, can you not."
I glare at her, what a bitch.
I try to ignore my sister for the rest or the journey by staring out of the window watching the world, watching the trees, clouds, cars , people and birds.
We arrive at school at 9:05, 15 minutes till school starts, 15 minutes till I enter hell.
"Summer hunny, don't be so loud" said Maia through fits of giggles, Maia is a popular girl, has all the boys orbiting her it's like she's the earth and all the boys are the moon.
I turn the corner and head down the English corridor, I arrive outside my classroom '88a' and stand watching the other pupils In our school walk by me, not noticing me.
Miss Higgins arrives 2 minutes later, "come on in class"
We all scurry into the room, one by one.
I find my seat at the back of the class and start to doodle on the back of my school Jotter like I usually do.
"Good morning class" said miss Higgins a little tone of excitement in her voice. Now I see why.
"We have a new pupil today class, his name is Evan Haigh, welcome to the class Evan."
Evan Haigh, probably the most beautiful boy I have ever seen.
He has dark blonde/ brown hair that sweeps across his forehead, the most spectacular deep brown eyes I have ever seen. He wears a beanie, loose jeans and a black hoodie with the words 'manorside acadmey' written across the Middle.
"Um hi I'm Evan and umm I'm 17" he says quietly running his hand through his messy hair.
"Please choose a seat Evan" miss Higgins says, breaking the awkwardness that had settled in the room.
There are a number of spare seats in the room, next to me, next to Maia and one next to Jamie, I guess he will choose the one next to Jamie or Maia because well Jamie is a guy and Maia is classed as 'pretty' and all the boys are after her, I look down and concentrate on my drawing, a lone flower in a field of nothing.
"Umm can I sit here?"
I look up to see Evan stood in front of me.
"Don't go sit near that weirdo Evan she doesn't talk, come sit with me" Maia shouted across the classroom.
"I'm ok thanks, I'd rather sit next to someone that doesn't talk than a bitch like you" replied Evan, a smile playing at the corner of his lips.
I glanced over my shoulder finding Maia giving me the death glare and mouthing 'freak' to me.
"Hey, You ok?" Asked Evan, his voice so soft it just sort of fills you with happiness.
I nod shyly and then continue to draw my little lone flower.
"That's beautiful" whispered Evan over his shoulder.
I nod and give him a thankful smile.
"So you really don't talk, do you?"
I shake my head a few times before going back to my work.
If only I had the courage to talk to him, to talk to anyone.
