"Summer..... Summer"
I wake to the sight of Evan hovering over me with a worried expression on his face.
"You need to get up, your mum has been texting you since nine last night"
"What do you mean last night?" I reply
"Well umm we both fell asleep last night and we've only just woke up" says Evan.
"Crap, my mums Gonna kill me, will you drop me home?"
I look up at Evan to see a wide grin spread across his face.
"What?" I say
"Nothing" Evan replies playfully followed by a wink. "Evan tell me"
"Fine, it's just you, your amazing, I love to hear you talk, I mean ten years without talking and you decide to talk to me? I don't understand"
I look at the ground shyly
"I don't know, I mean I can trust you and I just feel safe around you, I don't know how to explain it. I didn't want you to get hurt, I don't know what I'd do if you got hurt" I look back down at the ground, blushing at the words that escaped my mouth.
Evan looks at me, eyes wide, biting his lip and running his fingers through his soft hair. I soon feel Evans warm breath on my lips and I fill with butterflies, our lips collide with each other and he runs his fingers through my hair with one hand and strokes my face with his thumb with the other.
Suddenly Evan pulls back.
"Shit" he says
"What?" I reply a little confused
" You need to get home to your mum, quick come on" Evan holds out his hand and I take it, he pulls me up and we head for the back door.
Evan opens the door and heads round the side of the house pulling me along with him, he hops on his bike and so do I.
*****
I shut the door behind Evan as we enter my house, my mum comes running towards me. "Summer! where have you been?"
"Sorry" I mumble
"Wait, oh my god summer, did you just talk? oh my god" my mum engulfs me in a warm embrace
"Sorry miss, summer fell asleep at mine last night, nothing happened though so don't worry" Evan admitted to my mother.
"Are you kidding me?" Replied my mother.
Shit.
"I don't care what you two did, like I don't care if you had sex in the back seat of your car, she's talking, do you know how long it's been since I've heard my baby girl talk?" My mum stated.
"Yes, I'm very aware mi..."
"Oh please call me Sally" my mum interrupted.
"Ok well Sally, Im very aware about your daughter not talking for a number of years and I'm glad she is now."
Evan beamed down at me, I smiled back up at him.
"Well Evan stay as long you like" my mum squealed.
"Will do" replied Evan followed by a cheeky wink.
