The next day at school, I saw Andie at her locker.

"Andie."

"Hi, how was your weekend?"

"Me and Steff talked business, we spent the day working on the project. How about you?"

"Well, long story short, it was a rough night but Blane asked me to prom."

"Oh yeah?"

"Yes, I said yes. Duckie is mad at me. He was with us last night and Iona. Duckie acted hostile towards me and Blane."

"That is so unlike him! He must've been devastated when you rejected him, he liked you for years."

"Well...if he told me sooner then we would be dating. What he did was his own fault."

"What did Blane do about it?"

"He made me feel better after the date by kissing me, we went to a club for the date."

"Duckie at a club?"

"Yes."

Duckie walked to us.

"Bee, can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Yes I will. Let's go to the steps."

We walked to the bottom of the flight of stairs we went down.

"Duckie, Andie told me everything that happened. What the fuck is wrong with you Phillip Dale!?"

"I was jealous ok!"

"You didn't have to take it out on both of them."

"I was just so angry. They're dating now and I don't know what to do about it! I felt like I tried to get her attention and impress her for nothing."

"Wanna know what else she told me? Blane asked her to prom...she said yes."

Duckie was so sad.

"Had her first kiss too."

He was getting teary. Poor guy. I hugged him.

"She is still your friend."

"Not after what I did, I know that!"

"Go up to her and apologize."

He nodded. I walked him to Andie.

"Andie?"

"Ducks, you been crying?"

He nodded.

"Yes...I'm sorry about what happened last night at the club. I was jealous and devastated that you and Blane are together. I liked you for a very long time-"

"You could've told me you liked me before Blane invited me to go to Steff's party with him."

Duckie sighed.

"I know. And I'm so sorry for my behavior. We're still best friends right?"

"Of course we are!"

They hugged.

"If Blane hurts you, tell me and I'll give him piece of my mind."

"You got it."

They let go.

"It's almost first period, let's go."

We started walking to class.

"So, what is the project about?" Andie asked me.

"We have to write a ugh, a mini essay on Romeo and Juliet."

"What project?" Duckie asked.

"Her and Steff are paired together to do it."

"Steff McKee, really? I bet he was talking you into fucking him the whole time."

"Duckie, language, unlike you."

"Sorry."

"Me and Steff, we just talked business...and yes we ended up making out and fucking."

"I knew it!" Andie and Duckie said at the same time.

"He said his girlfriend was a whore and she deserved to be cheated on. Karma's a bitch and so is she. So, I lost my virginity to Steff McKee."

"I'm pretty sure he took the virginitys over half the females in this school."

We laughed.
