The Bee (A Pretty In Pink Fanfic)

The Prom

I put on my dress and walked downstairs. Andie was in a pretty pink dress. Duckie was in his tux.

"Andie you look like Sleeping Beauty."

"Aww you're sweet!"

We hugged.

"You look like Snow White."

"Thank you! Steff will be here any sec now, you excited?"

"It's senior prom, we should be!" Duckie said.

We heard a car horn.

"He's here!" I said.

We ran outside to Steff's car.

"Hey guys, wanna do something, prom don't start for another half hour?" Steff asked.

"Take me to my dad's, I wanna see him."

"Yeah sure."

We got in the car and left Andie's house.

"You remember where I live?"

"Of course I do."

He drove me to see my dad. I walked in the house, I mean me and Steff. Dad was eating a TV dinner in the kitchen.

"Bea honey!"

"Hi Dad, how are you?"

"Great, doing much better. Went to my first meeting this afternoon, went well."

"Good. You remember Steff McKee?"

"Of course I do Steff, oh my gosh you're growing up!"

"Thank you sir."

"We're going to prom together Dad."

"Ah really?"

I nodded.

"Well have fun baby, prom is suppose to be a fun night."

"It will. Just wanted to check up on you."

"Thank you Bea, you two better have a good time."

"We will."

Steff shook his hand and we left.

Prom was underway. As soon as we walked in the room, Steff stopped me.

"Bee Bee, I almost forgot."

He got a box from his jacket pocket, a corsage! He put it on my wrist.

I smiled and kissed him on the cheek.

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

We went to the tables and sat down with a paper plate of finger foods.

"These are actually much better than the cafeteria food," I said.
