Time: one week after the attack
3rd POV
It's been a week since the attack on Harmony. During that time the SRS has been working with the police to find the dead bodies of civilians. Most civilians are currently MIA and most likely in the other world. Currently the SRS are holding a Decoration Day for those who have fallen during the attack. One day after, Jerome is promoted to a lieutenant for his efforts during the attack.

Jerome POV
( also this is a bit before the events of Titanfall 2)
As I was walking down the halls of the James McAllen to the bridge. I accidentally bump into a Rifleman.
Jerome: " Oh sorry about that. " I then reach out my hand. He takes it and I help him up " What's your name? "
Jack: " J.. Jack Cooper Sir. "He said as he saluted
Jerome: " Haha uhhh. You don't have to call me 'sir'. Just call me Jerome. "
Jack: " Yes sir.. I mean Jerome. I better be off, I have to meet up with my squad "
Jerome: " Nice to meet you Cooper. "
Jack: " Like wise Jerome, see ya. " He said as he runs off
I then turn around and continue to walk to the bridge.
Time skip: 12 minutes
I walked in and noticed Sara Briggs waiting.
Sarah: " Took you long enough pilot. "
Jerome: " Sorry ma'am. "
Sarah: " Just don't let it happen again. Anyway I called you here because-"
Jerome: " Because of the attack that happened a week ago. I know. I just don't understand how they got there, there were no signs of enemy ships. "
Sarah: " Their weapons don't make any sense either. And dragons attacking as well. Nothing adds up. "
Jerome: " It's possible that from any other world. Actually that's the only possible reason. "
Sarah: " Your team's report says they retreated into a Portal. Correct? "
Jerome: " Correct. The portal is in the middle of the city that got attacked. "
Sarah: " Then I want your team to go in first. Scout ahead before we make any moves. "
Jerome: " Yes ma'am. You can count on Omega team. " I said as I walked away
As I was making way to my team's room, Jessica ran up to me
Jessica: " Hey Jerome. "She said walking beside me
Jerome: " Oh what's up Jessica? "
Jessica: " What were you talking about with Sarah? " She said with a hint of jealousy
Jerome: " Our next mission assignment. " I said with a smirk
Jessica: " Oh, what is it this time? "
Jerome: " I'll discuss it with the rest of Omega team. "
Jessica: " Roger that... Lieutenant. " She said with a giggle
Jerome: " It's just Jerome. None of this 'sir' or ' lieutenant' shit. " I said as we entered the room.
I looked at everyone, Alex is laying down on his bunk, Ace is reading, and Leonidas is leaning against a wall.
Jerome: " Form up Omega team. " They all circle around me " Sarah wants us to scout out special region. "
Ace: " 'Special region' ? "
Jerome: " Where those guys we attack came from. Sarah wants us to go through the same Portal they did. "
Alex: " Then? "
Jerome: " The SRS will send building supplies to set up a base."
Leonidas: " Wouldn't they be ready for us? "
Jessica: "I doubt it. Most likely the troops who attacked us probably went to their higher ups and told about the attacks. "
Ace: " Basically we scout and hold the line till reinforcements arrival? "
Jerome: " Correct. Let's move. Sarah wants us to leave as soon as possible. "
